midi sync help please

I need to know how do midi some equiptment together.

What's Involved:

akai mpc 2000xl
roland vp 9000
akai mfc 42

What I'm trying to do:

I would like to be able to use the effects available on the roland and the filters on the mfc to modify existing sounds on the mpc without having to change the format of the sounds and load them into the roland, then modify them and then change the formats back and load them back into the mpc. which is far to annoying for on the fly experimentation with sounds (which is the goal) or in the case of the filter be able to use it on existing sounds on the mpc instead of having to have already filtered it during the sampling process. I want to be able to use the filter and the effects on sounds that I already have and am using on the mpc.

if you can understand how I'm explaining this, which I'm sure isnt well, then....


can this be done, and how?

if i understand correctly, i think the only way to accomplish what you are talking about is recording your effect tweakings live onto a DAT tape or CPU and then re-sampling them back into your mpc.
