Cool Edit
I wanted to do a remix for the contest here but I don't know how to set BPM on cool edit.
I know you can take a hi hat and press ctrl + P and you can find the tempo, but when I try to change the tempo to what I want it doesn't change. It just stays the same. How do I make that change?

well, you can change bpm in the bottom right corner, but to actually change the speed the track is played you have to go to the single track screen, click effects, click time/pitch, and click stretch... This will allow you to speed up or slow down any track WITHOUT changing the pitch... Hope that helps...

ayo irving, if you wanna make a beat to that supastition ish, the loop time is 10.5 for 8 bars (or maybe it's 16??)
either way, you can find your high hat distance for that supastition remix by just dividing 10.5 seconds by like 16, or 32, or something to that effect
to figure out how to get the bpm in that ish just make a loop of silence whatever length, then do what you already did to find out the bpm of that through 'wave properties'. if it's the number's too high, like say you wanna be at 91.4, but your loop of silence's bpm is 96, then make the loop longer, this will make it slow down. make it shorter to make the loop's bpm faster (eg. 96 to 100 or whatever)
you can just fuck with a loop of silence's length until eventually you get to the bpm you were trying to get at, then use that ish as the gauge for whatever you're doin
i dunno why i'm typing all this i'll show you next time i see you, lol
and don't bother makin a beat cause i already got heat brewin
