a new beat i made called rays of sunshine
i haven't been able to successfully complete a beat in a couple weeks now. i'm trying to regain some confidence here. i might tweak this some more, as far as change ups go--some are pretty rough.
let me know what you think.

over all i like how this is sounding, is that a marcos valle sample you used for the guitar/main loop, its got a similar feel. the only things that i didnt like were at the 18 second mark and the 45 second mark. those change ups were a little rough with the time compression/expansion. maybe try and mess around and get those soundin a little smoother and you've got yourself a sick ass track, everything else sounds good.

i made a new beat too, in case you don't want to listen to that other one. this one is called perspectives.
thanks for checking the other one. i know what you mean about the change ups, but for some reason i like them. oh yeah, and no it's not a marcos valle sample, but rather a jose feliciano sample.

Ray of sunshine - The flute is panned hard to the right, which is okay but I feel like something else should fill up the left. dope little chops and changeups. Real fresh Herbie Mann sound but the kick just doesn't do it for me, too flimsy.
Perspectives - This beat deserves an ill MC. Some filtering or aggresive EQing goin on in this one. Also I think I hear some nice reverb too. Best fx stuff i've heard from you. This may be one of the most polished beats you have turned out (either that or you flipped the sample insanely well) Solid track, nice bass, could stand alone but should really be rapped over.
El Naturale - Cool vibes, and nice muted horns. A beat like this desperatley needs a better bassline to carry it through the changeups, which are kind of rough. Snare is blah; needs more snap.
