New Shit I have Been working on

Post by Random Sample »

Just started putting together this joint. Still needs to be tweaked some and some other stuff done to it, but this a rough copy. Just wanted to get some feedback on it.

yo i was really feelin this, props

love the drum pattern and the samples, the track has a dope bounce to it, like a vicious battle rap type feel

it feels a little thin though, like the track doesn't have enough weight to it but it could just be the way it was mixed.

good shit

Yeah it is a shitty recording to minidisc, then through a shitty sound card. You can't really hear the bass line. I still got to do a lot more to it.

the hihats seems a little too loud. not to say that you are a beginner producer, but the mark of most beginners is riding the hihat too loud in the mix.

i like the sample, except that horn-sound seems off key. try tuning it up.

Yeah, the thing is it sounds allright right now but there's potential for it to sound way better...so whenever it's re-upped I'll listen again.

i think this is a very solid start, but the mix needs a lot of work. i don't think there is nearly enough low end. you should make the bass thump and the drums hit a lot harder... then this could be a banger. all the samples you use (besides the offkey oboe which you fixed) work great.

so keep it up man, and post the track again when its updated

peace.
