Serious? Shit. Right now I'm lucky if I feel something's completed twice a month. But I have a lot of half-finished ideas floating. Shit's aggravating.
There's a lot of garbage producers who will make one decent beat for every 40 on that site, and they're too prolific.
THEN you've got the few, few, few producers who make about a dozen beats a day, and chances are 90% of them are hot. Some of the club and R&B producers on there need to get a check.

It's from an interview in Wax Poetic, the J-Dilla/Public Enemy/Bomb Squad issue. Highly informative and entertaining interview. Actually, everyone should have a copy of the whole issue, really. The interview/retrospective article on Dilla is extremely good and actually, pretty touching. Think I'll read it again when I get home.
man, I'm having a hell of a time with this battle. I'm usually decent at these things, but am totally stumped with these samples. Lots of good loops, but I'm not finding what I want to add to them. How's everyone doing so far?

I just want it to be known that I officially hate my mix.
This is because my mixing skills couldn't pay rent for a two-room box on the street. Maybe one room, but definitely not two.
Therefore, if you hate my mix, feel free to say so. You'd just be joining the crowd. If you have any suggestions for me on how I can improve further mixes, I'd love to hear them.
