You can ONLY pick one group. The rest die-off but the group you save will be the only surviving artists that will continue to make music. 10 MC's, 5 producers per group.

Pick the group you're saving and explain why.

6 Kool G. Rap
7 Black Thought
8 Lil Wayne
9 Crooked I
10 Slug
11 Pete Rock
12 Timbaland
13 Erick Sermon
14 Large Professor
15 Just Blaze

B)
1 MF Doom
2 Common
3 Andre 3000
4 Jadakiss
5 Method Man
6 Raekwon
7 Camג€™Ron
8 Saigon
9 El-P
10 Bun-B
11 DJ Premier
12 Buckwild
13 Alchemist
14 Kanye West
15 ANT

C)
1 Nas
2 Sean Price
3 GZA
4 Ras Kass
5 Big Boi
6 AZ
7 Devin The Dude
8 E-40
9 Brother Ali
10 Scarface

The first 50 replies will be people picking a Wu-Tang artist from each group.

This is impossible. haha.

but if I had to pick... it'd be A or C... but after that you're asking too much.

A or C, right now I'm going with C.

Why?

Beatnuts, Nas, Devin the Dude, Gza, Rza, Scarface, Brother Ali. I could definitely listen to material these folks put out for the rest of eternity.
how about you ease up on the hotdogs?

Now I've made some dumb threads, actually many within my 30K but this isn't one of them.

Is this question that difficult to answer or did I not eloborate enough for you MENSA cats?

A.

Everyone else is either past their prime, completely coasting or totally uninteresting. Wayne and maybe Crooked I are the only people mentioned who have the potential to put out a classic or two in the future. Scarface is the only other who may have something great left in the tank. Everyone else (yes, including Saigon), I could survive off of their old material and be just fine.

Hmm. Devin too. Well, hopefully this event takes place after the new Coughee Brothaz drops...

8 Large Professor
yeah, that's the list. just ghostface, g rap, black thought, slug and sermon lol. large pro is my second all time producer. enough for me.
would miss k-def how i miss dilla now, but i still have timbaland here.. (bad joke) lol thank you phila for not including aesop at all. haha.

el-p is missing, but still, we have variety. long live this era^!

I'm gonna go C.

Group B has at least 5 confirmed Fags so thats a non contender immediately.

I can see that Group A has some good people, but:

I feel like C offers a wide array of sub genres and Scarface, Dre and Devin would probably form a super group. Here is more breakdown on my decision to go with C.

C)
1 Nas (for the first one)
2 Sean Price don't care about this guys existence
3 GZA
4 Ras Kass
5 Big Boi (IMO, the more currently relevant outkast emcee)
6 AZ
7 Devin The Dude
8 E-40 (humor)
9 Brother Ali (skill)
10 Scarface (truth)
11 RZA (Super Scientifical)
12 K-Def
13 The Beatnuts (Perhaps the beats that get me most amped)
14 Dr. Dre (Head Nodders)
15 9th Wonder (Homo)

I see your point, but E-Dub & Wayne aren't as bad as Common, Andre 3000, Kanye West, 9th Wonder, and some other people who may or may not post here who I don't want to insult for no reason.

i picked b but it would be hard to leave a

basically comm and andre are (marginally) more valuable than ghost and jigga...

prem marginally > pete rock

but timbo >>>>>> kanye all time, though i think kanye future prospects are much better...

prodigy and redman are great..but both are no longer that productive

jada is worth saving for the future classic he could/should though probably never will make

method sucks now though he's great careerwise.

fuck, wish i could save g rap

and thought, even though he sucks now

wanna save large pro and just blaze too

but buckwild, cam, doom, and bun b would make up for missing those.

well great thread because it made me think. just the type of little hypothetical i enjoy thinking about and asking others about.

as far as why choose group b....because some of my big favorites are on that list and those make up for choosing those i wouldnt necessarily enjoy and the other 2 lists dont have the versatility or solidness that list b has.

list a - i dont care about 7 of them
list b - '.........................4...........'
list c - '.........................7...........'

I was reffering to the why choose group B, as prior to my asking the question, no one from group b talked about why.
