Fuck yeah, one of my favorite years for singles.

Candy sweets, a candy bitch, you lookin' at a candy boy
i done came down lane and popped trunk, hit the switch on my candy toy

1. Wood wheel (maybe UGK's best song)
2. Simon Says
3. Full Clip
4. Car Horn (it was nice to hear Common not taking himself so seriously over a simple fonky 45 King beat after the bore-fest that was "One Day It'll..")
5. Who Dat? (the chick Sole > the nerd rapper Sole)

"Nas Is Like" is overrated and "Jigga My Nigga" was my least favorite Jay single but both are alright. I can live without "Wanna Be A Baller", the Roots jawn and "My Name Is".

I'll catch hell for this, but Lil' Troy gets my vote. When I think of the Summer of 99 that's the only song that immediately comes to mind.

I wouldn't have voted for Nas if I knew that a bunch of other good songs were gettin no love (ie Monch)

real hard list to choose from. most are bangers.

Voted Monch, the only vote for it.
The song gets me too hyped to vote for anything else.
