If you were never really that into him, this is definitely NOT the place to start. Check Beauty And The Beat or Primitive Plus first.
word. shit's a little out there and amateurish, but i mean, he did it during his sophomore year of college on a four track or some shit. it's definitely funny, though.
I don't mean I don't appreciate it. I think it's cool stuff. I just think each of his releases has been more polished than his last.

oh, i didn't think you didn't appreciate it. i was just agreeing that it's not the place to start at all. he's gone through some serious changes since architecture but it's still really dope. especially the bugged-out donavex tracks. edan's on some other shit.

Here's a couple of old Edan CD-R recordings I don't think have been uploaded before.

The first is Fake Live Show with Skillz Ferguson

It was a promo CD-R that I believe came from sandbox with an order of Sprain Your Tapedeck. The CD consists of Edan and Skillz F. rehearsing, pretending to be performing for a crowd.

The second is Edan with a band called Fiber, Live at Bill's Bar

Code: Select all

The back of the CD says it was recorded in January 2000, and I got this with Artchitecture, which I actually got from Edan by way of Kevin Beacham. It's not much more than a reasonably capable band playing funk licks while Edan does his thing. There are some verses on this release, though, that I've never heard elsewhere.

listened to beauty and the beat for the first time in a couple years last week, and i was surprised how much more i enjoyed it this time around... i bought it because everyone was hyping it but i never really got into it, but now it really grew on me and i'm happy i picked it back up

New Edan track. Sort of a Rakim homage over CAN's Vitamin C:
