EDAN Architecture
Saw this on Sole's board.
wiki:
Edan completed the officially unreleased album Artchitecture on an 8-track digital cassette recorder in his dorm room while in his sophomore year.

Oddly enough, I remember my homeboy who used to dig for records with him play this album for me; and little bit later he came back to the DC area and I got to link up with him. It was dope then and is still dope now. Matter of fact, he had self-pressed copies of Primitive Plus going around before he got signed. He had them at a Howard Univ. battle I told him about and ripped it at the tryouts. And oh yeah....memories are faggots .

Thanx for this.

Edan and Skillz Ferguson kill the tag team shit, my favorite moment is the first 10 seconds of "Real Emcees dont need editing"

"i got the money dunn i got the money yo....i got the cornflakes and the chedder"

Cosigned to the fullest.

Wasn't feeling the rhymes on Beauty and the Beat at all. Primitive Plus is one of the funniest albums I've heard, and his whole steez on that album is just cool as fuck.

"My metaphors are ok how are yours?"

Why is it that you are allegedly so knowledgeable about hip hop and yet I've never seen you contribute even the slightest bit of knowledge about any artist or album other than the fact that the music you like is "real hip hop". This is a thread about an Edan album, so either discuss the album like the rest of us or shut the fuck up.

Andy Able got me hooked on Edan. I bought Cut Chemist's single for What's The Altitude on vinyl with the Edan Mene Gene B-Side.

It was mixed to trash.

I remember hearing an Edan track called Funky Rhymes or Funky Rhyming with the Champ loop which isn't on his first album. Is it on this?

Any news on any new Edan shit coming out?

The beats on BEAUTY AND THE BEAT were nuts and I love the meaningless multisyllable rhymes he kicked on PP.

I've read on myspace bulletin something that he's gonna release a new album, but didn't say what/when.

If you were never really that into him, this is definitely NOT the place to start. Check Beauty And The Beat or Primitive Plus first.

word. shit's a little out there and amateurish, but i mean, he did it during his sophomore year of college on a four track or some shit. it's definitely funny, though.
