did he really have to call stack bundles a "flunky"??
or include this sentence at all?
even lesser talents like Dipset flunky Stacks Bundles earning a spate of po-faced eulogies and a prominent ג€œR.I.P. Stack B, Ima keep you alive, kidג€ shout-out from Lupe Fiasco on last yearג€™s The Cool.

Damn. That's sad as hell. I'd buy a legit copy of Pay Jay if it was released.

Most every popular producer in LA is a Jay Dee clone. Very few have taken the influence to the next level.

That was not a well written article, a bunch of gross generalization's with a feeble attempt to take the the side of the family...Impartial my ass, that dude who wrote it, sound like he spends more time covering Nickleback shows and petting Barney The Purple fucking Dinosaur's pussy...But, I'm not bitter...

What ever happened to the good old days when people would bite Premier and perfectly emulate the elusive boom bap pattern?

that nobody character has some crazy beats. was diggin the rasg stuff, too. If you're a really hardcore boom bap/street rap enthusiast I can see you not diggin it, but in terms of pushing boundaries and the questions asked re: dilla I think this was a pretty good response. They seem to all be in the Flying Lotus/Low End camp who are doing some of the most cutting edge live and recorded stuff in LA, west coast and US underground scene in general.
