Album of The Year (so far)

Post by Philaflava »

No unreleased material. No tour albums. No reissues. Just brand new studio albums included.

UNLESS you see an album that would get you vote over all the ones mentioned don't say shit you pansy fuck. If you do see that album then select other and post which one.

Yup. I was saying the Killer Mike was probably my fav of the year in its thread, but Tha Carter III is easily the album I've gone back to the most since it came out.

Basically my reasoning too. I think I'll still put it in later this year and in the future as well. A lot of this other stuff was dope at first, but had a pretty short life in my stereo.

Reks is good but I think the "newness" is what got people open. The standout tracks by Primo and Extra P are great but as an album I don't know if its the "best" so far.

the roots album is the only one that sounds like an album.

it gets my vote.

banner and killer mike are good but have far too many tracks.

lil' wayne bores me to tears.

Yeah but it's also one of the only albums on the list that the backpack/nerd rap hardcore fanatics can vote for. We should've put EMC on the list too, at least that would've split the European vote.

ATMOSPHERE HAS MORE VOTES THAN LIL WAYNE.

Terrorists and Vendetta are better than 90% of that list by the way....

As far as entertainment goes, Assholes By Nature is both the funniest/rawest album I've heard all year. It is music to smoke blunts and drive fast to.

'Lil Wayne just fucking sucks, really. He fucking sucks.

Atmosphere's album has good songs, but the album is a bore overall.

Fuck Nas.

Yeah if you like your rappers to sound like they scraped the cancer off their vocal chords with 40 grit per inch sandpaper.

Does NERD count or is it too shrink to fit for M2C?

'Cuz Pharrell raps sometimes.
