Yup definitely retract my statement saying it wasn't that great at first listen. I forgot hip hop rule #116: Don't open your mouth up about an album before you bump it in your best soundsystem (car).

Murs being Murs, and Murs is dope to me. I got the DVD version and that 30 minute doc-spoof is pretty f'n hilarious. Eniggama, LOL.

This is not Murs. There's nothing underground or raw about it. We can call this motherfucker Ms. Because he's making music for former first lady's and vice presidential candidates this election year

Nothing underground or raw about it? Shut up. He is on a major label. Making Varsity Blues part II is going to do what for his career?

After a couple days listening, I really like this album.

Don't blame me, its his moniker, not mine. And I don't give a fuck about his label or the advancement of his career. I have enjoyed and supported the man's music for a long time, so I'm glad to see others are exposed to him and he's finally getting his scratch.

But I'm merely commenting on the fact that he traded in his underground and raw sound in order to make softbatch SoCal PG-13 rated rap tailored for desperate housewives.

Glad you have liked it for a couple days though, and I hope that keeps up for ya

I wonder what Eligh thinks of this album...?

I don't get how he traded in his sound. You wanted some 3MG production on there or something? Its lighter as far as hooks and production, also a glimpse of a grown up mature Murs, but he didn't go out and make a "sell out" record like you seem to be hinting at.

And that shit BANGS for not having a true "banger." DJ Quick is on pt.

Been listening to this album for a few days now. If I never heard of MURS before this album I'd have no problem and wouldn't question a thing. The album is definitely MURS crossing over. The beats for the most part bang but if I was one of those LL die-hard fans I'd have a hard time disgusting this album no matter how much growth MURS has had.

I really like Everything and Can It Be, but not lovin' that James Blunt sample. That shits gotta stop. Didn't Beanie Sigel sample James Blunt?

Album is good.

and its also hilarious how this nigga dropped his living legends crew like a bad habit
Not true about him dropping LL. The newest LL project "The Gathering", MURS brought together when he had the connects to do it in major studios and etc.; I asked him about a few months ago in an interview.

I think that's the whole gripe from the LL fans that I've talked to, but I personally don't understand it.

I'm glad he made an appropriate album instead of trying to stay true to an esoteric underground thing that never really went anywhere. It's a very good record
