I would assume if he doesn't restructure, he will be on the street with no compensation.Tweak Da Leak wrote:you think he's gonna be a Saint? If they give us a good draft pick I say go ahead and draft moreno if not then lets restructure.
I did read he will restructure, but what part of the offense will he play with the little guy making way more cash?
Assuming he's healthy and getting the ball (not on the bench), he is a good fantasy back.

It's fair to be skeptical of Drew. I think he'll have a good season, but the fact that he's shared the load until now, and the fact that he's such a punishing runner makes me wonder if he can stay healthy or maintain his production.Karisma wrote:Mojo Drew wouldve easily Been Michael Turner or moar in Atlanta this year

The other thing is that the Jags have little to no passing game, so teams are going to be able to key on Drew all season. If the Jags can get their hands on a good receiver in the draft this might change, but they have to be able to stretch the field.

Sure, because Atlanta had a rookie quarterback, but they had a 1000 yard receiver in Roddy White that teams had to be concerned about as well. Once Ryan showed that he was a good qb teams couldn't key on Turner.Gregg Popabitch wrote:they had similar concerns for michael turner last year, no?
Has Jacksonville had a thousand yard receiver since Jimmy Smith retired?

I think he meant about not being able to carry the load after splitting

Well Turner had a lot more tread on the tires. He only carried the ball about 300 times total over four years before last season and when he carried it 376 times.Karisma wrote:I think he meant about not being able to carry the load after splitting

Jones Drew has carried the ball over 500 times in only three years, plus he's caught 150 passes as well. He's been hit a ton already especially at the goalline where collisions are huge. If the Jags can't take pressure off of him he's going to have a very rough go of it.
