hahaaha. well, if that was true wouldnt they have more guys starting who were developed in their own system? Some nice young SPs who they developed?

do you mean historically or 5 years from now?

because looking at their lineup full of stars barely any came from their farm system and I wouldnt expect ian kennedy or phil hughes to roll in and save the franchise any time soon

half the batting order is from the yankees farm system. pettitte, joba, wang, mo rivera......all from the yankees system.

hughes was pitching studly but the yanks had too much invested in the rotation already.......until wang started blowing chunks. and let's not front, Hughes is still more valuable then the whole package the twins got for Johan. a lot of dudes were hype on ian kennedy. i wasn't really.

c'mon kel.

Lyle Overpaid with the walk off yesterday. Rookie Romero getting the start today. Hopefully he plays well again.

i liked overbay.

he seems to have lost all power for the past 2 years but before that, i thought he could be a slick fielding first baseman with a 20 HR pop and could get on base fairly well.

he should be a lot better then he was the past 2 years.

I liked him too, but after he broke his hand his bat went with it. He's having a better start this year, and he's a very good defensive first baseman but he has a lot to prove now.

yeah. I thought for sure all those doubles he was hitting would eventually turn into 25-30 HR power. probably never won't at this point.

I would've wanted to kill somebody if the umpires overturned what was clearly a homerun.

You'll see the highlights of the Yankees/Indians game later and know what i'm talking about.

i don't know what the angle of the sun was, but on the yellow WB Mason siding, i don't think you ever once saw the shadow of the fan's glove. you only saw the outfielder's.

anyone see the once top prospect for the astros felipe paulino?
dude fell off because of an injury, but came out of nowhere to pitch a gem of a game today. looked fantastic. i remember when he was throwing 100+ in the minors, people were calling for him to be the closer in houston, but he looks like he could be a real solid starter if he throws like he did tonight

Canada can never make me mad. Hooray Jays!
I can only imagine how you'd react if Toronto gave someone a Tribe vs Yankees style ass whooping.

It's hard to get excited given his injuriy history, but the Astros could certainly use the help. Brian Moehler is their 3rd starter (and injured) for chrissake.

What's crazy is the bully that was supposed to be one of the better ones in the league has been letting them down lately. Should have won at least 3 outta 4 from the Reds but let them slip away.

The rays are the most talented team in baseball. If they can get a better closer then what they already have (no easy task), they would unquestionably be the best team in all of baseball.

Once David Price gets called up and put in the starting rotation, it would be tough to even argue against this. They need more than a closer right now though, their entire bullpen is in shambles

I was just being a dick.

But I don't think they're even the most talented team in their division, let alone the AL.
