The Phils are patient as shit at the plate (aside from rollins who is always swinging at the first pitch). We put him in some tough spots but he was able to get out of most of them, as he should. The phils bats aren't even hot yet either imo. It was nice to see Utley come around, but if this was a game 3 or 4 rather than game 1 after the layoff, it might have been a lot uglier.
like the Yankees aren't patient at the plate, the yankees do everything Philly does at the plate but better

they had an off game its doubtful Lee pitches that well again

he will absolutely dominate again

Funnier quote:

Pedro's "I just tip my hat and call the Yankees my daddy"

or

Matt Stairs "when you get that nice celebration coming in the dugout and youג€™re getting your ass hammered by guys, thereג€™s no better feeling than to have that done".

I can't decide.

I love how the poll jumped in favor of the Phillies now.

Pedro gave us 3 strong. He's looking sharp and crafty. If he can just give us another 3 2/3 IP I'll be happy. But we NEED runs cuz our pen can easily blow any lead we have if it's not greater than 4-5.

Pedro's usually good for at least one of those.

I'm glad the hits happen when the bases are empty. We need RUNS badly.

THANK FUCKING GOD
NEW YORK (AP)ג€”Phillies utility man Greg Dobbs(notes) has returned to Philadelphia before Game 2 of the World Series because he has the flu.

Dobbs was a candidate to be the designated hitter against Yankees right-hander A.J. Burnett(notes) in Thursday nightג€™s game, but Matt Stairs(notes) got the nod in his absence.

Dobbs is 0 for 4 in the postseason. The infielder/outfielder hit .247 with five homers and 20 RBIs in 154 at-bats this season.

That was actually a pretty good pitch. That faggot just golfed that shit.

Still, I'll take 2 runs in 6 innings from Pedro every time. We need to give him more support. Burnett looks unhittable right now, the umps are giving him a bullshit strike zone though.

Right.

And these faggot front running Yankees "fans" are gonna think they got to Pedro. 2 runs in 6 innings isn't getting to someone.

What's killed us to this point is faggots swinging at Burnett's first pitch.

Yeah, that was beyond stupid. I saw a base hit flare to left all the way. I'll take it though.

Not from the first base ump's vantage point, though he probably shouldn't be the one making the call since he's behind the play.

But yes, it did short hop. Count that as one that's gone against the Yanks this postseason compared to the many that have gone for them.

oh I know the yankees have got quite a few big ones in their favor, but jesus at some point these retarded fuckups by the umps need to stop

I love how they come together afterwards, they never overturn the plays, its just bullshit to make it look like they actually are rethinking the call

Youseff Fictitious?

He's homies with StinkE and Meech One ( http://www.thefightins.com ), and more importantly, another Hiero Hoopla alumnus.
