Fucking sucks. Co-sign the sentiment that at least it was to another franchise with a drought and I have to give a lot of props to Chicago, great young team. So fast and so precise with their puck handling.
Also I have a lot more respect for the Chicago fan base after this series. I think Game 5 in Chicago might have been the rowdiest crowd of the series.
We have a lot we can build on and I ain't mad at Leighton, dude did a hell of a job this playoffs in a tough spot. A couple weak goals last night but our offense missed a lot of great opportunities.

So hungover.
Really strange game. Hawks thoroughly dominated most of that game but either the Hawks went into a complete defensive shell or the Flyers turned it on because I was certain after the last 8 minutes and the start of OT that we would have a game 7.
Most anticlimactic and hilarious finish to a championship game ever? I only realized it when Timonen stopped skating.
Heard from a few friends of mine that the team brought the cup to Harry Carey's in Rosemont at like 4am.
Amazing how quickly all this has happened...it feels just like yesterday we were celebrating Bill Wurtz dying. Also, shoutout to Dale Tallon...kind of sucks he isn't with the team that he built.

Extra rowdy. All our bar tabs got waived for some reason, and I was one of those idiots in the middle of Clark street just south of Addison.HipHoppin wrote:why tomorrow night (tonight)? last night was fuckin rowdy to say the leastinternetfront wrote:Tomorrow night will be a good night.Hayzoos wrote:
Cool story.
Feels good to shave, and props to Philly for a great series. The ending was a little anti climactic but I'll take it. I'm glad we won it on the road, I wasn't in the mood to riot

Last year I could not wait to shave my beard off. Mine was pretty long and annoyed the hell out of me. By the end it was at about 4 inches long ( ). I actually shaved it off when the Pens went down 2-0 last year and they went 4-1 in the next five and won the cup. It felt so good to shave though.wheels wrote:Feels good to shave

at least with the beard, i can pass it off as religous reasons even though most people know i'm not remotely religious.
