Wimbledon 2010

Post by eternalreflection »

Federer had to battle in the 1st round, and lost a set to a bum in the 2nd(and hasn't put him away yet in the 4th), maybe the decline will happen faster than thought

absolutely sick match going between Isner/Mahut 42/41 and not looking like it'll end soon lol

Nadal looked good in his first match, a 2nd win here would really help his legacy as a great player outside of RG

When will they have to play next? And records are being broken left and right in this one.

not sure, one benefit is the guy they play went to 16/14 in his match, but yeah both are pretty much fucked

I think it's tomorrow, possibly friday

45-44 now lol

Fed down 5-4 in tiebreak, pretty crazy day in sports

I think there is a very good chance the winner just withdraws

its probably like -5000 right now to win tomorrow

but they might not finish before it goes dark lol, a 3day match would be so absurd

I really hope this doesn't end with one player retiring

65 and 69 aces in 5th set. The most amazing thing to me is one guy only has 3 double faults in 5th set.. same amount he had in the 4th. 0/5 break for both players in break points in 5th set.

the most amazing thing is Mahut still has enough energy to run and dive for shots, if he got to that, I think Isner just quits

I mean its not smart tactics, but you got to love his determination and endurance

probably 1-3games left

I predict that some of the ugliest tennis you will ever see will be played tomorrow.. that is if they can both manage to even get to the court and suit up.

Too bad Isner/Mahut is completely overshadowed by the World Cup. I watch all the crappy Masters events as well and even I had to go with football. Caught some parts of Federer's matches, he was actually decent in both. This guy today was serving incredibly and smacked winners left and right. I wouldn't read too much into it. Yet.

Hope Isner/Mahut will not be totally anticlimatic tomorrow.

this match blows my fucking mind. if this doesn't prove that tennis players should be mentioned among the world's greatest athletes, i don't know what will. this is a first round match between guys who aren't that close to being the best of the best.

Cool. So if you've got nothing to do from Thursday morning until Saturday afternoon, you've got that.

been watching Wimbledon faithfully this year...those upsets the other day were wild...both Clijsters and Venus went down....I watched Venus play, she really wasn't playing smart out there....
