Cy Vogelstrong shut down Babe Goldschmidt and his cohorts today. 9-1. GOAT.

going into 2012, how you feel about Lidge?

at some point he'll rediscover his mad skills, right?

Dude is done. A total shell of his former self. An Oil Can like Boyd. Light a match, watch him burnout.

What he said. He is no longer needed and will no longer be on the team. Between Contrares, Stutes, Bastardo and Madson we should be okay in that role.

Lidge and Madson are gone next year. Madson might come back but he's a Boras client so he's gonna want to get paid.

Is batting order protection overrated?
Howard since the Pence trade: 9 for 20, 4 HR, 11 RBI
Probably more attributable to him finally hitting the ball to all fields again but it sure aint hurting either.

Your pitcher shares a first name (and likely hormonal imbalance) with half the girls featured on My Super Sweet 16.

Looks like the weekend Yanks-Sox series is gonna start with both teams tied for first. Yankees really need to take 2 out of 3.

:icedit: the White Sox are an atrocious baseball team.

that was quite a game if you like to watch good pitching. Madbum struggled first 2 innings then delivered 8ip strong. Lee was Lee. CG ownage.

I was really hoping that second inning would be indicative of Bumgarner for the rest of the game, but of course he settled in really nicely. Gonna be a lot of good pitching the rest of the series. Too bad we won't see the battle of the Cys (Vogelsong Vs. Worley)

Amazing effort by the bullpen tonight 4.1 scoreless innings and they made it look easy.

That Phils-Giants brawl was great. Eli Whiteside going after Polanco's knees pretty much ensures he's taking one to the dome at some point.

Pence was all up in the mix earning respect by the millions daily. 3rd greatest acquisition by the Phillies ever. Maybe 4th after Carlton.

Mayberry is the shit.

Best place to start is actually being Craig Counsell.
