Blatche and Cousins on the same team would be very amusing.

Cousins' agent is denying the trade request, and Petrie says he's not on the market. Sounds like he just hates the coach, and said something stupid in the heat of the moment. Can't say I blame him. Westphal seems pretty insufferable. Not trying to deny that Cousins is a wack job. Cuz he clearly is. But he's also only 20. And immensely talented. AND they knew what they were getting when they took him. So all things considered, Sacramento would be really fucking stupid to let him go just because he can't get along with a journeyman head coach.

Clearly Cousins is mentally fragile, unprofessional, and needs to be handled with kid gloves, but everyone knew that before the draft, why draft a player like that and then pair him with a coach like Westphal? you're just setting yourself up for shit like this to happen.

Lebron's put together quite the start to this season. His shooting looks improved.

Why is Dorrell Wright so horrible this year? He's been shooting badly, but last game he hardly even got any shots off. Is it Marc Jackson's coaching? Lemme know, Peanut butter.

Glad I stayed away from Wright in fantasy. I almost kept him over Marc Gasol too.

I think GS has a jam with too many shooters. His minutes are getting cut soon too.

Asked about Rubio, and specifically how difficult it would be for him to adjust to American culture, Gregg Popovich's response was classic: "These guys, they travel around the world," Popovich said of international players such as Rubio and Ginobili. "They're more cultured than we are. Everyone acts like Americans are the ones ... we have sort of an arrogance about us. Like we're the cultured ones? Are you serious? ''Have you watched TV lately? Have you seen what Americans do? How many languages do you speak? And you wonder how they're going to adjust to our culture? I hope they avoid it and keep their own!"

He has no rhythm. And he has no confidence. He needs to find his shot, but his game doesn't allow him the opportunity to get any different looks. Last year was an aberration. He's never played at a level anywhere close to that previously in his career. So right now, he's struggling to find his identity as a player. It has nothing to do with coaching. He's getting the same looks he had last year, only last year he nailed them. He needs to relax. And he needs to work on scoring from inside the arc. Once that starts to happen, he'll regain his confidence, and then can began to work on his long range shooting. But somethings gotta give because right now he's really hurting the team, and is about to be replaced in the starting lineup by Brandon Rush.

That's probably way more than you cared to know.

i might be geeked off sitting in row 1 of the first seats behind the courtside seats section watching the pacers run an amazingly efficient and crisp-passing offense (i know i know against the lowly nets whose second best player right now is marshon brooks and it's not even close) but godamn i'm saying it:

the pacers are deepest team in the nba. 1-10, no other team has 10 players in such a rotation that exhibits 10 competent players, surely ranging in skills/experience but nonetheless all good and all with at least one discernible nba skill

1. granger
2. west
3. hibbert
4. george
5. collison
6. hill
7. hansbrough
8. lance stephenson
9. lou amundson
10. dahntay jones

we don't have a superstar, but we do have a TEAM. i hope they can gel like the detroit pistons title winning and contending teams without a superstar and continue to play ball the way they are. i KNOW IT WAS THE NETS but the way they effortlessly executed their offensive sets time and again was super impressive.

a couple years ago we STARTED AJ PRICE. he's now our 4th pg (don't pay attention to rotoworld depth charts TOO much).

paul george starts but george hill comes off the bench quickly. but george is clearly the one player with superstar potential. his size/length/athleticism is off the charts. he grew again this off-season and is now EASILY 6'10 maybe 6'11. THE ONLY PLAYER who was noticeably taller was the giant roy hibbert (who is easily 7'2, i'd guess more like 7'3). george towered over sheldon and shawne williams, was comparable to petro, but FUCKING GUARDED DERON WILLIAMS to start the game (and did it the most capably of all the defenders i don't know why vogel put collison on him for most of the rest of the game, but he probably knows better than me)...george hit all 5 threes and didn't take any forced shots, they were almost all wide-open. he had an amazing putback dunk and a couple finishes at the rim that were and-1's not called. he's so good. on defense he's working constantly, and he hedges and slips around screens as an off-ball defender so well. i'm copping his jersey with the quickness. super yes homo
