Bears WR Brandon Marshall was involved in another incident that could lead to an NFL review. More shortly at http://ESPN.com.

Hey, sometimes you just gotta slug a bitch. We've all done it at some point.
I read about what he did in the pro bowl this morning. 170 yards and 4 touchdowns. This is the only time that I've ever been impressed with something that a player did in the pro bowl.
The poor son of a bitch was just trying to enjoy a pleasant night out with his wife. The incident allegedly started as a fight between Marshall and another football player. Marshall ended up "cold-cocking" the woman in the left eye, though it's not clear if the punch was meant for her or was misdirected in the melee. During the donnybrook, Marshall's wife was hit in the face by a thrown bottle

besides being so funny it was really gay, well done
anyone read this stellar article about offensive lines?
http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/20 ... es-part-1/
32. Chicago Bears (31st)
Run Rank 31st, Pass Rank 31st, Penalties Rank 25th
Does this really surprise anyone? The Bears at least attempted to rectify their horrible offensive line by drafting Gabe Carimi, only for the tackle to manage 100 snaps before a dislocated knee ended his year. It left them with a group of individuals who struggle to get much push in the run game, and arenגt much better in pass protection. Youגd struggle to find a line that performed as badly as the Bears over the years.
Best Player: By default, this was Edwin Williams (+0.5), though this is more of a reflection on the rest of the line which amassed a combined -116.1 grade.
Worst Player: Take your pick. JגMarcus Webb (-26.2) was a failure on the left side, but even he was outdone by Lance Louis (-35.6). Louis should never have moved out to tackle and it really showed down the stretch; in no game more so than when he gave up five sacks to a Chiefs defense that simply destroyed him.
Hey, by the way who's Curt?

talk about Freeny being released, if it happens does he have much left?unclebengi wrote:Peyton to Titans, nightmare for Colts fans
Dwight Freeney - DL - Colts According to NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora, it's looking "less and less likely" that the Colts will trade DE Dwight Freeney.
With a $14.035 million salary and a cap figure north of $19 million, Freeney simply earns too much money for a player on the wrong side of 30. Now that Cory Redding has signed to play end in Chuck Pagano's defense, Freeney is a candidate for release. The seven-time Pro Bowler would be highly coveted on the open market, just at a 2012 figure significantly less than $14 million. Source: NFL.com Mar 14 - 2:50 PM

Congratulations to the Bills.
LOL at the Bears ever having a realistic shot at acquiring him in light of that contract. 50 million guaranteed, good god.The first ever $100 million contract for a defensive player includes $50 million guaranteed. The deal dwarves the then record six-year, $84 million pact signed by Bears RE Julius Peppers in March 2010. Peppers' deal included $42 million guaranteed. From a football perspective, the Bills provide Williams a chance to move back to his natural position of defensive end as they switch from a 3-4 to 4-3 defensive front. The No. 1 overall pick of the 2006 draft has notched 53.5 sacks in 82 career games.

The Niners' WR targets

The San Francisco 49ers are not stopping their free agent WR shopping after adding Randy Moss earlier this week. According to Matthew Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, the Niners hosted Brandon Lloyd and Chaz Schilens on Wednesday, and have plans to host Mario Manningham and Eddie Royal (if he doesn't sign with San Diego).
San Francisco has already lost Josh Morgan to Washington, and fellow FA WR Ted Ginn is visiting with the Detroit Lions on Thursday. Royal, in particular, would be a good addition if Ginn is gone, as he has experience in the return game.
Wait a minute, Brandon Lloyd joining the 49ers? Might not compute for the Niners fans in the audience with long memories. Mike Sando of ESPN's NFC West blog explains why it could happen:
- Tim Kavanagh
Mike Sando
He's a changed man
"Lloyd's reputation in San Francisco as an immature player unconcerned with winning appears outdated. He is now 30 years old and meeting expectations. The 49ers have largely new leadership, creating the opportunity for a fresh start."
