Aldo won the fight for sure. I don't think he was ever in any real trouble, but was having hard time in the later rounds with Frankie's pace which lead to him getting tagged.

Rogan almost ruined the fight for me.

I couldn't hear Rogan cause the Casino I was in was packed and hella loud. I agree with you in principle but I think we've all seen Edgar, Condit, Guida etc. win fights like that by not coming close to finishing or doing any real damage but landing more strikes in more rounds.

^ :rockout:

Yeah, what was up with Overeem throwing next to no strikes (other than clinch strikes)?

So much :naswtf: on the card, Rashad Evans being the most puzzling.

Moo: Rashad is just scared not to get knocked out he doesn't do much of anything anymore except wait for a counter-punch.

Overeem vs JDS is not happening yet imho. Silva vs JDS is.

USA TODAY: ANTHONY PETTIS DROPS TO 145, MEETS UFC CHAMP JOSE ALDO ON AUG. 3

Two of the most dynamic strikers in all of mixed martial arts will meet Aug. 3 as Anthony Pettis (16-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) is dropping from lightweight to 145 pounds to challenge current champion Jose Aldo (22-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) for the UFC featherweight title.

White said the company currently is seeking a venue for the as-yet-unannounced event and that sites in Texas, Chicago, Las Vegas and Rio de Janeiro are all under consideration. Aldo vs. Pettis is expected to headline the card

I don't see a lot of interest or talk about TUF but the early story is this Uriah Hill dude. He was pretty impressive in his scrap to get into the house. Then this happened tonight...

Image

In the pre-fight interview he nonchalantly mentioned "maybe putting on a show", and, genuinely, it looked like he waited for the 10 second warning to throw that kick.

Apparently, he sends everyone he fights this season to the hospital. Should be a good watch.

yea i've been watching. Whats even better than White saying he sent everyone he fought to the hospital is that he also said someone had a nervous breakdown before fighting him hahaha.

Hall's only losses came to Costa Phillipu (Decision) and Chris Wiedman. Kid looks pretty good.

word. Wasn't sure if everyone else hated Bubba. I can't stand dudes like that.

Also Josh Barnett has rejected the UFC's offer. Expect some can crushing matches and Shaving cream ads in Japan where he's fighting super robot octopus in his immediate future.

the whole main card is good imo. Should be fun. Prelims were shit. Only one good fight. Watson VS Nedkov. Too many boring little guys doing nothing ruined it.
