Rickey Henderson's WAR in 4.5 seasons with the Yankees (30.5) exceeds Paul Konerko's WAR in 15 seasons with the White Sox (26).
Reggie Jackson's WAR in 5 seasons with the Yankees is about 18, although that doesn't take his playoff stats into account.
Who is the all time Yankees staff ace? Any answer will be pretty sad.

Ruth
DiMaggio (don't forget he lost 3 years of his prime to WWII)
Gehrig
Mantle
Jeter
you could argue 2-4 in any order, gave DiMaggio the edge cause he wifed up Marilyn Monroe
and unnacceptable to put Yogi over Jeter.

Good point, but I'd still put Gehrig at #2 because of this:Tommy Bunz wrote:DiMaggio (don't forget he lost 3 years of his prime to WWII)
wRC+
1. Babe Ruth 197
2. Ted Williams 188
3. Lou Gehrig 173

Word. Williams lost 3 years to the military too, he'd easily be part of the 600 HR club without the war.
I docked Gehrig cause his career was shorter than the others, but I didn't really spend that much time looking at the hard stats so I might have been wrong for doing that.

Re: Rank these Yankees in order
What are the odds that, adjusting for era and quality of competition, Derek Jeter is actually a better baseball player than Babe Ruth?

Berra played longer at a more difficult position, won more World Series, and more MVPs.Joe Pesci wrote:^ no way Yogi is better than Gehrig.
You can't say that you can't make a legit case for Berra over Gehrig.

Re: Rank these Yankees in order
Did Yogi call your mother names bro? Jackson had a better career as an Athletic. He will always be remembered for his post season play with the Yankees, which brings me to Yogi. More HR in post season, more MVP, more rings, true leader of the team. He should def be within your 7. And Maris had like 3 good years as a Yankee, that's it.Cash Rulz wrote:1. Babe Ruth
