That's the plan, breh.

One of my friends is a Joe Pesci style Giants fan. He thinks that Angel "Coco Crisp" Pagan is finished.
Does this concern have any basis in reality?

yeah maybe. the real concern is that he's a catalyst to the offense. if him and Belt are healthy they have a formidable lineup.
pagan, belt, posey, pablo, pence, morse, crawford, and 2b.

Now it's pence, posey, panda, and guys who cant play for the astros.

and even if he comes back in a week or 2 his timing will be off. same with belt. Cain is gonna have tommy john(i'm guessing). from 42-21 to this shit is ugly.

He hit for like a week for the Pirates in the opening of the season, and then he was garbage.

Every time I think Josh Harrison is going to go back to his former self, He goes on a tear. Just an amazing season from him.

Josh Harrison has more homers in this series against the Giants than Joe Mauer has all season

WEEI's Alex Speier reports that the A's have acquired left-hander Jon Lester and outfielder Jonny Gomes from the Red Sox for Yoenis Cespedes.

I looked at Cesepedas' numbers and they weren't really that great save for his debut year. It's crazy to think those numbers couldn't be replaced in Oakland. He should thrive in Boston for another season while under control before becoming a FA again.

Love the move for the A's. Fuck it, go all in. Good pitching has beat the A's in the past couple years, so assemble the best staff in baseball. It's bold, but getting the best available pitcher for a flawed and expensive OF is pretty nice. Folks are flipping out over this because they've seen Cespedes, but I bet Russell probably had more value with other front offices in trade negotiations. Regardless, YoYo finna crush in Fenway

Thats a great return for a year and a half of Lackey. Cards must really value the fact that he makes the league minimum next year.

Cherington killing it. Sox got a competitive balance pick back in the Cespedes/Lester deal too.
If they resign Lester in the offseason, they look like a competitor again already.

Asdrubal to the Nats, presumably to play second. Makes way to a Lindor promotion.
Great fuckin trade deadline day
