Trout. Not even sure why we have the AL votes anymore.
Re: American League midseason MVP
Tempted to vote for King Felix but pitching is not Seattle's problem.
Trout tho. I'm 2 months older than him and I would love to have even half of his talent. Feels bad man.

Re: American League midseason MVP
its amusing since he's going to win the MVP this year even though its much weaker than his last 2(he was robbed both times)Reason wrote:and duh yea trout. he has been the best player in baseball since last season
guy is 23 and going to finish the season around 30 career WAR, I mean he's not just the best player in baseball he has a real shot at best player of all time

He's the 95th most productive center fielder of all time, according to WAR, and he hasn't played three full seasons

Re: American League midseason MVP
Fuck yea. Especially because he'd have to steal like 30 bases in two months. Which I wouldnt doubt that he's capable of. He's 10/10 on SB opportunities this season. His success rate on stolen bases in 89% over the course of his career, which is the best ever. Second best ever is Chase Utley the Gawd, who is at 88%. From '08 thru '12, he stole 75 bases and was only caught five times. In fact, active players account for the seven best stolen base success rates ever. Alexei Casilla is third, then Jason Werth, Craig Gentry, Carlos Beltran and Jarrod Dyson.jredd109 wrote:40-40 would be pretty damn impressive though, right?peanut butter wrote:Yea but he's gonna hit 40 jacksjredd109 wrote:he kinda stopped stealing bases though.

Utley's baserunning is one of the reasons his WAR is always higher than you'd think. He's also insanely good at getting from first to third on singles
Re: American League midseason MVP
Ummm... where is the Jose Abreu option? This poll is junk.
