If this falls through I am going to be absolutely gutted. Reports say he flew into Merseyside for a medical, so fingers crossed. Don't be another Remy! The behavioral clauses report is bothersome, not gonna lie.

Re: Official European Football 2014-15 Regular Season Thread
His "behavior" is so overblown. He's eccentric and a little immature but has never done anything that bad, especially on the pitch. He might sulk and mope a little bit but the media makes a mountain out of every little thing the guy does. He might still goof off but he's a fantastic signing. He belongs in England.

Re: Official European Football 2014-15 Regular Season Thread
his behavior off the pitch tends to overshadow his petulance on the pitch. The Second Captains podcast broke it down pretty well. The fact that he lets fireworks off on his own property isnt particularly bothersome, the fact that his shoulders slump, he stops playing and starts diving in to get himself sent off, is. i.e. the Arsenal game a few years back.stupidregister wrote:His "behavior" is so overblown. his success at Liverpool will entirely be down to Rogers and Gerard IMO.

I've only been to Anfield twice, but both times there was no atmosphere. I think it's due to the sheer number of tourists. They want to experience the atmosphere, but are uncomfortable getting involved. I was sat in the away end and actually heard an iPhone ringing in the home end.VideoKilledThe wrote:Anfield DOES sound like a library .
Unbelievable from West Ham earlier. 2 goals scored from outside the box! Maybe Allardyce is good for this word.

Re: Official European Football 2014-15 Regular Season Thread
eeehhh never really expected to pull a result @City this early in the season. a lot of guys were making their debut, and have not gelled yet. so really poor goals given up tho.
City were clearly the better side, it's gonna be a dog fight between them an Chelsea for the league.
Pos A we'll see what you have to say about Super Mario next week when Pool visit White Hart Lane.

Di Maria is a huge signing for United. One of the best wingers in the world.
And damn, did they pay big bucks for him.

United would be pretty good in League One. Top four at least I reckon...

I mean Di Maria is great and all and of course he'll improve the team...but why?
Ohhh, so they can sell shitty Danny Welbeck to Arsenal for the same amount Liverpool paid for Mario. Got it.

Re: Official European Football 2014-15 Regular Season Thread
to be fair Welbz with Cazorla, Wiltshere, Ozil et all playing behind him would probably be pretty fucking good.
Darren Fletcher and Tom Cleverley? Eh, not so much.

Alexis on the board.
I hope you all caught the Ludogrets/Steaua match. Ludogorets keeper sent off in extra time. CB had to play keeper in the PKs. He scored a goal and stopped two shots to put Ludogorets in the Group Stage. Amazing shit.

Love the Champions League draw for Liverpool.
Huge test against Madrid, but definitely a group they can get out of.
No disrespect to Basel, who are a competitive side.

What a lame draw overall.
Liverpool somehow has it easier than City? Makes total sense.
Seriously, someone needs to look into Chelsea because this is fucking bullshit. Year after year.
