so NOBODY thinks it is suspect that sam didn't get picked up on waivers? NOBODY thinks it is weird that he was productive and diligent by all accounts in practice and in games, far more in games at least than the undrafted dude who beat him out and far more than scores of backup d-linemen on the other 31 teams?

Yeah I'm on the fence. Both sides have good cases and its all about how you look at it. mfs lead the rams in preseason sacks and tackles and was second in some other stat. On the other hand that is stats through 4 games against 3/2 stringers with a team that is chock full of quality dline and is currently carrying 9 dline and only one rookie (in a draft class of excellent talent) is starting on that d including Joyner from fsu and Donald who is possibly the best dt prospect in the whole draft.

From what I personally saw Sam had a good progression but wasn't really there. But if you told me he would've been the last spot on the 53 and some dude came out of nowhere and got that spot on some homophobic shit I wouldn't be surprised.

If I was Fisher I'm putting him on my roster and letting him develop. But I didn't draft 11 quality players this draft either.

i mean if i thought there was serious discrimination before i can't imagine how i couldn't call this for what it was if he doesn't even get signed to a practice squad

whether it is discrimination against homos or owners/gms/coaches trying to avoid being surrounded by media coverage is a huge distinction but imo even the latter is unjustified because he has not inflicted any harm on anyone. ray rice snuffs his wifey and gets two games and doesn't get released (despite a terrible year last year) LMAO

yeah the fact that there seems to have been homophobia to begin with is definitely another part of this but the ultimate problem was that the last preseason game against the dolphins inflates his stats because apparently he went off. which also makes you want to ask the question; why didnt he go off before (you know like as a very capable player is like to do when put in a position against inferior talent). it makes me feel like his draft position (while seemingly low) maybe wasnt all that far off what it should have been.
