Crazy that as many GMs would start a franchise with Anthony Davis as they would KD. Also notable that they think Pau going to Chicago is a bigger deal than KLove joining the Cavs.
PEACE
the 1 non Lebron vote (Pau) had to be Cavs GM (not allowed to vote for your own players: Lebron, Love)
and the one Austin Rivers vote for breakout season had to be Doc.
Five Thirty Eight is doing some real nice, brief, analytically driven, NBA previews. Here's the first one they did on the projected worst teams in the West: http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/201 ... last-year/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Haven't checked out 538 stuff in a while. They have been extremely disappointing so far IMO. Everything is either numbers from small sample size or writers completely missing what drives those numbers (you know, actual basketball coaching). After silver article about George injury I abandoned ship.

Listened to the first half of this today, pretty good stuff.
Klay Thompson's camp is frustrated that the Golden State Warriors have not offered a maximum contract in their ongoing extension talks, according to sources.
Thompson and the Warriors face Friday's nearing extension deadline.
Joe Lacob has yet to become comfortable offering Thompson a maximum deal, sources said.
A source close to Thompson said any offer shy of a max would be "absurd" considering his improvement and the influx of money to come to NBA teams from the next television contract.
Thompson averaged 18.4 points, 2.8 3-pointers, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game last season.
Free Darko every game preview. Read it, faggots. This is the hallowed ground, where basketball blogging was built. Show respect or join the fuckin Euro soccer thread:
