Re: NFL WEEK 12-17
As terrible as Cutler has been and as bad as this team is, this is just another bullet point in the never-ending incompetence of management and coaching. Just off the top of my head, let's look at the reasons why no good can come from this move:
1. Clausen is horseshit. He's worse than horseshit. He's like 3 day old horseshit. He's not qualified to hold a clipboard much less start an NFL game. Not only is he terrible, but he's not someone you need to "figure out." He's already bad, we know he's bad, him playing bad isn't going to change that.
2. Let's say miraculously Clausen plays well even though everyone knows he won't. Then what? You're supposed to give this guy a real chance to be your starting QB when you have $100 million man backing him up? Yeah, great clubhouse move guys.
3. Let's say miraculously Clausen plays well enough to win. Why would you want that? They're out of the playoffs, winning now is counterproductive. Cutler was already doing a great job of securing a high draft pick, why try and change that now?
4. This only further pisses off your already sensitive QB maybe to the point that his relationship with the franchise is fractured enough that they have to get rid of him. As if getting rid of him would be so easy to do in the first place.
5. Basically now they have to get rid of him
6. This is more or less a future job audition for Trestman to show that he's not a bumbling idiot. He resurrected McCown's career when Cutler was hurt last year and if he can get something out this walking turd they plan to start now, maybe he can salvage himself a place in the league somewhere.
As the resident Bears fan here, I'd just like give a big old double bird salute to this whole organization. I hope they fire everyone, trade the few decent pieces they have left (Forte, Jeffery, Long, Bushrod) for picks and rebuild as soon as possible.

If the team I rooted for traded for Cutler, I'd walk away.

If Bears are gonna start a QB other than Cutler, it should be start Fales instead of Clausen

Re: NFL WEEK 12-17
Jay Cutler is making $22.5 million this year, more than Wilson, Luck, Rodgers, Newton, and Sanchez COMBINED.
Hey, by the way who's Curt?
Re: NFL WEEK 12-17

On the low, Jags have some good young talent.
Re: NFL WEEK 12-17
re jags
they need a new oc but if Allen Robinson can come back and play well next year watch out.
re 49
this is the new modern paradigm:
new coach comes in
ressurects truly awful franchise in one year
ONE YEAR
team competes for championships on the real
then a down year comes along
NO ONE GIVES A FUCK ABOUT PREVIOUS SUCCESS
this is partly a product of a culture where every fan out there who can't tell the difference between half zone half man but thinks they can tell you that the qb ought to have made that throw clear across field it's so obvious this qb doesn't get better from week to week horrible player horrible coaching blah blah blah too many holding calls gave the game to the other team bad officiating
I mean really you treat players like babies who don't want to play for a strange guy (who knows if that is actually the case by the way). I mean this shit is so fucked.
they stopped playing in the pistol because a) their run game was limited in yards per carry ie they were inefficient b) they weren't married to it c) their new beast rb came from a gun zone run game and they want him to be successful
I haven't seen hardly any 49 games this year because my work schedule is so fucked and I have no internet. but from what I can tell their problems have been a) injury is probably the biggest one really you cannot just lose Willis and bowman and be allright on defense I don't care b) too multiple to develop competitive profiency on offense c) because they're multiple they're hedging they're bets and trying to be simple at the same time but this really equates to predictability in the pass game especially for kaepernick I don't care what smart football says

I knew I hated his guts. I don't care if he had career games for us, when it counts he always throws it away.Joe Pesci wrote:Sanchez doing Sanchez things

The good news is you guys probably won't trade away Foles and he'll become somebody else's problem next season after he hits free agency.

I was wrong. I still think they're not beating Seattle or Green Bay, tho.Race Car Bed Sleeping Rapist Virgin wrote:The whole bar been hating on Dallas yet they are about to be nfc East champions today.hustler wrote:everything is falling into place for BIG D.

I'm not surprised that you are taking that stance, but in the grand scheme of things, do you honestly think Seattle or green Bay are that dominant? The nfc is wide open IMHO.alpha wrote:I was wrong.
