WTF???

The second best RB in the game goes for a LB who blew out his knee last year?

I know RBs are valued low, but Lesean is a special playmaker. That jumpcut.

Yup. Once the Phillies trade Hamels I'll have almost no reason to watch Philadelphia sports whatsoever. YAY!

larry johnson is a brusier though. also his fall off occured after a season where he had 460 touches. even with that being said, Marshawn Lynch's best 3 years were during his 26, 27, 28 age seasons.

I'm willing to bet Lesean has at least two more prime years left.

I hope so because he was pretty much a joy to watch like Barry Sanders back in '13. Losing D-Jax was tolerable but this hurts, even if logically it will be the better deal down the road. The Eagles have zero superstars and Shady was probably the last one we'll see on that team in awhile.

Do you think chip will trade up for Mariotta?

Depends on what the Eagles do with the cap space, but it is telling that fans of other teams in the east are happy Shady is out of the division.

It seems like that. But that is the problem, you have to expect the unexpected now with this team and with Kelly in charge. I do hope they give Maclin his $ because I'm more concerned with having Matthews and Riley Cooper as our 1/2 punch.

I'm really surprised they didn't franchise tag Maclin, but like you said, you have to expect the unexpected with Chip...

you have to take into consideration though that he'll be playing with an inferior O-line and shitty quarterback.

McCoy should thrive in Buffalo. He definitely has 1-2 more really good years left with a healthy o-line and I'm sure Ryan will bring out the best in him. That said, he is playing for an extension and is easily frustrated, so the loses and or pressure might get to him. He has way more miles on him than the average 27 year old RB, which some of you are kindly forgetting when comparing ages.

You are right about the qb situation, but philly's O line was abysmal last season.

Everyone is saying Ryan will get the best out of mccoy with his "ground and pound" mantra, but has Ryan ever dealt with a RB with the dynamic skillset that McCoy has, and will he be able to successfully utilize it? Does Ryan really have anything to do with offense besides saying "ground and pound" during press conferences?
