As a single dude with no children, i don't understand this predicament.

I vote against favoring Dwight in any shape, form or fashion.

Looks like the rebuild is beginning earlier than I planned. My apologies to everyone else who wanted Papelbon, I've just coveted Darvish for too long to turn it down.

Anyone looking for solid veteran parts I have lots to offer, especially power.

It's not really tanking if you're building for the future. I'm in it to win this year and Darvish ain't doing anything for me

Gloss knows the difference between rebuilding and tanking, he's just trying to be cute. He knows he's the only person that's ever truly tanked in a :phila: keeper league.

Not true at all. Dwight and Ripweblo did just the past 2 years. #knowyourfacts.

So you don't want any of my players Gregg? I'm in contention all while not having a single save.

I'm in a Fantasy Football league that employs bidding on waiver wire...everyone is given 100 "dollars" to bid at the start of the year and you have to choose and bid wisely. Players are on waivers after the beginning of their first game that week until Tuesday morning or something. I think this type of thing would really aid in making things fair for FA pickups in this league. Especially in the case where a closer is injured or removed. I don't see why you should be rewarded because you are the first to the waiver wire when a closer goes down, when a guy strikes out 12 batters in 6 innings, or hits 4 HR unexpectedly. It is basically a race to the wire and you have to be lucky enough to be the first to notice the news. It would be great if there was a way to keep guys as ONE DAY waivers constantly and then you have until the end of the day to make your bid. Then have it so that player is on your roster the next morning for that day's games so it's the same as just picking up a player the previous day. Maybe it's way before a guy is named closer or it's just some random outfielder so you just bid 0 and hope nobody else has the insight on that same day. The only issue would be it might fuck with your waiver priority which people don't want to be blowing every time you pick up a player. There would have to be separate waiver priorities for the regular 3-day waivers from dropped players or new additions to league. I doubt this could actually work properly on Yahoo but it would give equal opportunity to all.

I agree with most of this. The problem is people basterdize the waiver wire to the point where it becomes a competitive advantage. Perhaps puting a monetary amount on waiver wire transactions would work but good luck selling the idea to the dinosaurs running things
