Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread
down 3-1 and they come back and win it? That's pretty remarkable but you can't help but notice the glaring deficiencies with the Warriors. OKC had virtually dominated them to only lose the lead with the incessant raining of 3 balls.
Championships are won in the paint with big men because if the 3's stop falling there is no way to stop the bleeding. Draymond Green is a fucking insane player who needs to be featured more. But when Lebron does what he did there is no way to stop him
amazing season with even better finish

What Lebron just accomplished was impressive. That's a tough question to answer so soon, but kobe still has 5 rings to Bron's 3. Also, Bron has more finals losses than kobe.an-also wrote:Would you mention lebron and kobe in the same breath now?GUCCI CONDOMS wrote:Cavs still need to trade Love this offseason...djjeffresh wrote:richard jefferson said he is retiring. what changes should the cavs and warriors make for next year?

GS won 73 games. They don't need to do anything except be healthy. Curry plays 80% as good as he did during the season or Barnes hits any open shots and GS wins in 5. By the end it wasn't even a mismatch when T Thompson was covering Curry 1-1 and Barnes was not playable. They definitely do not need a big to post up.

Well the question we always asked about GS was "what happens when the 3's stop falling?". We finally saw it, and we all know what the results were...naturalborn103 wrote:GS won 73 games. GS just lost the NBA finals to a team with no coach that was relying solely on hero ball for their offense, some tweaking to their roster is justified...

They made plenty of threes. Not sure what game you were watching.
Curry wasn't healthy. Bogut being out was huge and Barnes disappeared.

So them losing the game and series in the 4th quarter equates to "what happens when the 3 stops falling?" Like the whole series was them shooting bad?

Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread
You're kidding yourself if you think GS was hitting on all cylinders from 3 during the NBA finals. We both know they weren't. They had one exceptional game from 3 (game 4). Other than that, they were not hitting 3's like they did in the regular season.alpha wrote:So them losing the game and series in the 4th quarter equates to "what happens when the 3 stops falling?" Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread
While I don't think Curry was 100% healthy(is anyone at this point?) a lot of his trouble was Cleveland absolutely targeted him on defense. GS tried to hide him on defense, let Klay handle Irving and Iggy/Dray for Lebron but Cleveland was pretty masterful in forcing Curry into guarding Irving/Lebron and I'm pretty sure that had a huge effect on his shooting not being there.alpha wrote:They made plenty of threes. As for injuries, last year they had the best fortune any team ever had with injuries. They didn't play against a single starting PG.
Green did a lot to win me over, he played out of his mind and seemed to be the only GS player playing like it was game 7. Cleveland out-hustled GS big time. He was a class act after the game too. If he can stop with the nut-kicking he's a likable player.

Green almost willed the Warriors to victory: 32 points and 15 rebounds. 11 of 15, 6 of 8 threes. 46 minutes.
I have no problem with the nut-kicking.

Draymond is a G.
I have no idea what happened to Steph this playoffs, dude was ultra disappointing aside from a few spurts here and there.

This may sound petty but I'm kinda glad Barnes ate so much shit in the playoffs. Now, instead of flirting with the idea of some dumb team giving him a max contract (the knicks might as well do that now), his value is gonna be more realistic. Dude is trash. Athletic trash.

Word, same for Ezeli. Dubs need to get role players they can actually rely on to hit wide open shots and wide open 4-5 footers.
I could see them getting a guy like Noah or Gasol and rotating him 15-20 mpg with Bogut.

Lebron was amazing, he can do whatever he wants and he's now top 3 imo, but he's fortunate the NBA caved into his whining and feminine behavior and got Draymond suspended game 5. Would never imagine Kobe or MJ being such a scorned lesbian. Draymond is going to be a monster next year.

I moved Lebron ahead of the Kobe/Hakeem tier on my goat list
MJ
Kareem
Russell
Wilt
Bird
Magic
Duncan
Shaq
Kobe
Hakeem
Lebron is now in the Duncan/Shaq tier and has a > 75% chance of breaking into the immortal 6 and around a 50% chance of moving into top 3 all time.

He's like Magic except better at everything lol at having Magic ahead of him.
Lebron has 13 full seasons played, 199 playoff games. He's top 3 at absolute worst.

he's not top 3 at absolute worst. I'd put Duncan/Shaq ahead of him.

top 4, forgot about Duncan. I always forget about that dude, smh.

Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread
I can at least see arguments for Shaq/Duncan/KAJ and comparing bigs vs wings is tough. But it is an absolute joke to consider Bird/Magic/Kobe to be anywhere near him. I mean Lebron's 6th best year is better than the best year of the 3 of their's combined career.
