Has any team that has ever been featured on Hard Knocks gone on to do anything good?

It's starting to evolve into a Madden cover curse, but 5 years ago the Bengals were featured and earned a wild cardPhilaflava wrote:Has any team that has ever been featured on Hard Knocks gone on to do anything good?

Fisher shouldn't make it through the season, should've been fired last night.

He looked okay against the vaunted Jacksonville defense, but Rodgers had his worst game of his career the other night. It's like he went from god to carson wentz in one season.Sumthin_Funky wrote:Aaron Rodgers.

Quarterback grade: Aaron Rodgers, 33.0
Aaron Rodgers earns lowest game grade of career
Not much can describe Aaron Rodgers’ performance other than it being one of—if not the—worst outing of his career. At halftime, Rodgers had just 13 of his 59 passing yards come through the air. He finished the game having completed just 4-of-14 passes targeted 10+ yards downfield. On passes where the ball was out by 2.5 seconds, he completed 18-of-27 passes with an NFL QB rating of 93.8. On dropbacks that lasted more than 2.5 seconds, he completed just two-of-nine attempts on 17 dropbacks, and had a passer rating of 12.0. Most uncharacteristic of Rodgers, though, were his turnover-worthy plays. He fumbled three times, two of which the offense was lucky to recover, threw a slant pass straight to Terence Newman in the red zone (only to have the interception dropped), and then tossed the pick to Trae Waynes in the final two minutes.

This is what Godgers gets for keeping down double J Jeff Janis. As soon as Janis replaces DeVanish Adams in the starting lineup Godgers will reclaim his throne, until then he'll be just a guy. Unfortunately Rodgers is such an entitled prick it won't happen and McCarthy just stands there in over his head like George fucking Costanza.

Re: 2016-17 NFL Season Thread
He hasn't cracked the 100 qb rating in like 14 straight games or something like that. At some point it stops being a slump and becomes reality. Still hope he can regain form but we might be past the Godgers part of his career. The problem now is that historically he was always making amazing throws into really tight zones where only the receiver can catch the ball. I can't ever remember many games where receivers would be wide open and then catching balls. Our offense was always predicated on Rodgers making amazing throws and the receiver making amazing catches. Neither are happening now. So maybe its time to fire Mike McCarthy and bring in a coach who has an actual system on offense. It would make it easier on Rodgers as he ages. But then again, its only two games, but this slump on offense has been going on for almost 16 total games now. So i'm not too optimistic.capable_keL wrote:He looked okay against the vaunted Jacksonville defense, but Rodgers had his worst game of his career the other night. Isn't McCarthy's system the one that McAdoo is running in New York now?
I thought Ben learned all his shit from Mike.
That system is all about getting the ball out quick and high percentage throws, it pretty much saved Eli's career.
Under Gilbride, Eli was playing like Rodgers is now. A kind of high risk, high reward offense that leads to a lot of INTs.

Re: 2016-17 NFL Season Thread
have no idea what Eli was trying to do today.
I'm all about spreading the ball around, but you have 3 baller WRs and you're goong to Rainey and Tye in the redzone and Vereen in the middle at the end of the game. Smh
Could have been 3-0 easily, now 2-1 going to face that Viks D that shit on Cam and then to Green Bay.
Also pretty sick to my stomach with how good the Eagles look right now on both sides of the ball
