Dids wrote:So this was my week.

Party sends me 50 bucks for free, one of those "you used to play here a lot please play more" things. They want me to play 500 raked hands to cash it out. 50 isn't enough for me to grind out playing the lowest limits.

So instead I've got to double that (min cashout at Party is $50).

I go to 50NL and move all in on the first good hand I've got (A6s, on a board where I had a flush draw and middle pair). I made my flush (and was all in against a guy with the same flush draw anyway). Double up- cash 50 out.

So I've still got 50 there, I play a $50 SNG. I win that- $200 profit, cash THAT out.

Then Party's Bad Beat Jackpot gets high, and my friend SpicyF stakes me to play here (basically he gives me $200, I play 2/4 with it and keep 80% of my winnings, and if I happen to get a BBJ payout, he gets 80% of that). I win about $75 doing that.

At the same time as the BBJ stuff, Party has these step tournaments. You buy in at a level and if you place high enough in that, you move up to the next. The final step is a $1000 SNG. I buy in at the $50 level, and place high enough in steps2, 3 and 4 to end up in the step 5.

I win THAT. BOOM. 4.5K payoff. A nice week of cashing out 4825 on an initial investment of zero. (which is nice, 'cause it means I don't have to take the loan I just was approved for on Friday).
very impressive, dids...

i'd like to play with you/watch you play

where do you frequent the most and what're your names?

I won the step5 (the single table kind). Step4 just wins you a seat into the step5.

I take no risk, if I lose, he's out the money. That's the point of the stake. My friend wouldn't have staked me if he didn't know I was likely to win him money. Also, he's a super high stakes player who can afford to piss away $200.

i always have a tough time leaving a $25nl table whenever i'm winning.

my thinking usually goes...'i'm playing with other people's money, and the cards seem to be coming...'

anyhow, i just cashed out of the 25nl with 92 bucks.

good for me. it was torture to leave, because i was getting some monsters...in 20 minutes or so, i got kk, 99, tt, aq and aj.

busted 2 people out on all-ins.

anyhow, i was going to just go to bed after tilt, but i figured i'd play a couple hands...

go me.

dids

you ever think some of these sites are rigged?

i don't really think so about pp or ps

but ub is so fishy man

at least fifteen times in ub have i seen two people have identical pocket pairs, regardless of the number of people at the table...other things i've seen WAY too frequently = straight on the board/flush on the board/same suited flop, turn also same suit, ruining flopped flushes for tons of people

sometimes, i see a little glitch/pause and i'm just so suspicious

like could they put a delay in and switch cards that people have? i don't know

i've seen that at a 1-2 table in livermore consecutive times...everyone chases..it is ludicrous...but thats how they fall man. thats why i play 3-6 and above when i'm in a casino.

what it really is these things standout, so you remember them, I'm positive you can't repeat the last 15flops without looking them up .. so you forget all the normal flops boards, holecards and only remember stuff that stands out like AA vs AA .. straights on board etc

I know there is a large amount of data on PP showing that it isn't rigged at all, ppl want to believe the copout answers when they are loosing(noone complains when they are winning)

also given that many odds in poker are worse than 100/1 they take an insane amount of hands to balance out, seriously a million!! hands of poker is nothing

This is nonsense.

You see more weird shit online 'cause you have the capacity to play so many more hands, so you've got more chances to see wacky stuff.

A- it's not rigged.

B- think about the situations, how do they benefit the casino?

There's no financial incentive for sites to rig anything, they make more money the better their reputation.

Yeah, just email Kipin and he'll hook you up. I think we're looking at the week after the superbowl, and I might be moving then so that might be out too...

Scheduling things sucks.

question for discussion: how do you guys all play a-k? raise? just call?

also, how to you play a-a?

personally, i raise both of them pre-flop. too many times i've been out-drawn with aces, so i figure i'll just pick up the god-damned blinds before i lose on the river to a 6-8 suited or something.

usually, with a-k, i'll raise double the big blind. that way, if i get a call or two, and i miss the flop, i'm not killing myself. and if i hit it, the pot is a little thicker...

i assume we're talking NLHE. pocket a's: in early posistion, usually just call. i may raise depending on the flow of the game. just calling allows you to reraise a raise. in middle and late pos. i will reriase a raise. and if everyone just called i make a large bet.
AK: if it is suited i will usually raise with it from any spot. ak offsuit i will just call and if if get raised then depending on what hand i put them on i may reraise(if i think they have just face card on a super small pair) i fi think they have a medium pair upt queens i will just call and take a flop.
