Pat Riley will pull a bitchmove over stan van gundy thread

Post by Gregg Popabitch1 »

this is a guy that took a squad expected to go nowhere to an eastern conference semi.

he took a team with it's two most imporant pieces injured to the brink of an NBA finals.

and now pat riley feels it's his time to take over?

if stan the man wants to leave, as a knicks fan, i will stand on the sidelines with open arms.

Yeah Stan took that team that Riley abandoned and lead them to the playoffs. If Wade hadn't gotten hurt, we might be looking at your 2005 World Champ Miami Heat. This is a total dick move. Stan should go coach a team with no chemistry and not much in the way of players.

I hear the Knicks need a coach.

I'm not sure Stan is a great X and O coach, and I know Shaq doesn't think so. But its hard to let a guy go after what he has done for that franchise. He'll get another job for more money though (or he can go back to porn).

the van gundy family is known for knowing their basketball. i'm sure he knows his x's and o's.

the only reaosn shaq wants him out is because he didn't get enough touches in game 7

which is a legitimate gripe. Phillip Hoffman was hitting better shots in "Along Came Polly" then Dwyane Wade that game

How could anyone?

He could find the cure for cancer (Noble Prize and all) and still have to endure the Ron Jermey look alike jokes for the rest of his life.

As of now, Ron Jermey will most likely be remembered beyond Stan.....Unless someday Ron will be a Stan Van Gundy look alike?

I'm sorta twisted over this situation.

1. I think Stan is a great coach and deserves to keep his job.

2. Hall of fame coaches are the only ones who have one over the past more than a decade.

3. Stan has a great chance of being a hall of fame coach.

4. Riley is a hall of fame coach who couldn't do what Stan has done.

it's confusing. I hope it all works out appropriately.

(AKA stay in GM mode Riley, it will be the only championship success you will have seen since you were a good coach)
