Warren Moon HOF?

Post by blastmaster »

I say no way. Numbers support him, but a drawn out career and an absurd offensive scheme skew them. He was not a winner. He clobbered his wife repeatedly and smoked crack. Any thoughts?

Pass attempts: 4

My favorite quarterback of all time. They said he was too small for the league, so he went to the CFL where he ripped every team to shred-like material and set records left and right. If you combine the stats he had in the CFL with the stats he had in the pros, you wouldn't even be asking this question... and quite frankly, even with his pro stats you shouldn't be asking this question.

I don't care about his team's "strange offensive style," it got him to the playoffs many years and even to the super bowl.

To answer your question: no, he shouldn't be in the HOF.

that huge playoff collapse to Frank Reich made me look at Moon funny. But I also think that clobbering your wife or snorting the sideline should never come into play.

I am pretty sure it is the Pro Football Hall of fame. If so, Moon should be in.

easily belongs, off-field shit shouldn't factor

and not every great player will win a championship in their careers, its a team game, and a lot has to go your way in a given yr to win

Yeah, it's kind of a ridiculous thread.

I guess I was aiming more towards first ballot. But I do not think he is the lock you guys are making him out to be. The offense he ran enhanced his numbers by a huge margin, and his numbers are all hes got.

Moon's CFL+NFL stats > Marino's NFL stats

but... neither of them had the heart to win a championship.

I'd put Jim Kelly in before I'd put Moon in.

I am pretty sure Jim Kelly is already in.
