Lomachenko signed with top rank today and apparently his plan is to fight WBO #7 Jose Luis Ramirez Garcia (25-3, 15 KOs) for his pro debut on the Pacquiao Rios undercard, and then go for a world title in his second fight, which would be a world record.
No big deal, right?

parts of this are the most incredible shit i've seen
from an 8 second knockout leaving the dude COLD out on the floor passed out with headgear on to him at 16 crying before a fight saying shit like "now everybody likes me because i'm a good fighter" and shit in teddy atlas' arms to an opponent of tyson's crying after his corner threw the towel in on the fight like 30 seconds in and teddy atlas consoling him
the thing i took from this is that teddy atlas is one of the most amazing people in sports

Nice find. I've seen most of this in bits and pieces throughout the years but never in its entirety.
I don't think there is any commentator in boxing that gets as excited as Teddy does when shit goes down.

Here's the Kovalev Cleverly fight. It doesn't last long.
Nice to see Barker become champ. The Kiko Martinez Romero fight was a great upset.
But Takashi Miura vs. Thompson was the best fight of the night imo

In which sense?
Good to see Jacobs back in with his first solid opponent since the loss to Pirog and battle with cancer.
Nasty KO of a guy who has never been stopped.

instead of getting more attention and bigger fights that he deserved with his victory, sergio thompson has been punished. rigondeaux manhandled HBO's darling and instead of being praised by HBO there's doubt whether or not he'll even fight again this year.

Floyd always boasts that there isn't a clear "gameplan" or a "remedy" to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. and I agree, there isn't. Who beats Floyd is a younger, bigger, stronger fighter that catches Floyd on the back end of his career and that's essentially what we have here.
If Alvarez connects with a flush power shot he's going to finish him in a way that Mosely and Cotto couldn't.
Gotta go see this one in the theaters.
Also, Garcia/ Matthysse is not getting the attention it deserves. I blame Showtime and their lackin-ass build-up/ promo shows.

Floyd Mayweather Las Vegas Media Day
(On Canelo’s opposition)
“Did Canelo KO Austin Trout? This is a whole different ballgame. He may be predicting a knockout but all you have to do is look at the opponents he’s faced. I really don’t know too many, but a lot of the guys went the distance with him. And we’re not just talking about A-fighters but D- and C-fighters. Guys that he should have knocked out in the fourth round, they were able to go into the eighth and ninth rounds even though they were caught with numerous shots.’
“I don’t think Ricky Hatton’s brother is on the level of a Floyd Mayweather.”
(On notion that Canelo will stop him)
“Oscar said he was gonna knock me out also. Did you see what happened in that fight? People are entitled to do their opinion. People are going to say what they’re going to say. My job is to be the best I can be and continue to do my job. There’s a reason I do record-breaking numbers.
“My last fight against Guerrero, he thought it was just gonna be easy. A lot of times people, fighters, look from the outside and think to themselves, ‘this can’t be that difficult,’ but once they get inside that squared circle with me it’s totally different.”
(Gameplan)
“I’m going to show him a lot of angles. I have a lot of experience, and experience is going to be a factor. It’s going to be real, real different for him at this level.”
Canelo made the 152 catchweight, Floyd came in at 150.5
Both Matthysse and Garcia made the 140lb limit
I'm excited. Floyd is just too good and with Canelo's lack of output and ostensible stamina issues, coupled with a lack of experience at the world stage, I see money picking up another UD. Matthysse via KO in a brutal fight.

was sure Mat was gonna drop Garcia within a few more rounds.
Mat did pretty well for a dude who couldn't see from his left side for about 6 rounds tho.
