Re: The Official NBA Draft/Offseason Thread
Supposedly Cs/Clippers talks are dead. Ainge called Doc and told him they are dead and that he still wants him as head coach. Woj also said that Clippers said no due to financial reasons. Sterling is the worst, that was a great deal for them and pretty bad one for Celtics. I hope CP3 leaves.

FORD 5.0
Peter G. Aiken/US Presswire
Ben McLemore's subpar workouts and conditioning have him losing some traction.
And according to his Twitter account, these guys still have a shot at sneaking into the 1st:
Allen Crabbe
Jeff Withey
Isaiah Canaan
Pierre Jackson
C.J. Leslie
Mike Muscala
Erick Green

With just nine days to go before the 2013 NBA draft, it's time for another update of our mock draft.
In the past few weeks, teams have been taking players through interviews and strenuous workouts in an attempt to finalize their draft boards. While most teams tell me they're still a week or so away from settling things, we're starting to get a little bit of clarity.
I've been speaking with numerous NBA team sources about how the draft might play out on June 27.
Here's our latest update on how we see things going.

Re: The Official NBA Draft/Offseason Thread
The Celtics and Clippers have started talks again on the Doc Rivers-Kevin Garnett deal, league sources tell Y! Sports.
CP3 must of not been happy with the outcome before.

Re: The Official NBA Draft/Offseason Thread
Clips have all the leverage. Doc aint going back to Boston either way.
Re: The Official NBA Draft/Offseason Thread
I hope the Magic get a piece or two to be excited about, even though we'll be a bottom 5 team again this year. that and find a way to get rid of Jameer

Doesn't matter, clippers need to please cp3 and Boston knows that. Even if he doesn't come back to Boston Clippers can't resign him.alpha wrote:Clips have all the leverage. Doc aint going back to Boston either way.

Re: The Official NBA Draft/Offseason Thread
Wiggins time!!After superstar Chris Paul injected his influence to accelerate talks, the Los Angeles Clippers are searching for ownership approval to complete a blockbuster deal to bring Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers and forward Kevin Garnett to L.A., league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Clippers management planned to huddle with owner Donald Sterling on Wednesday night in Los Angeles to get his approval and move on Thursday to finalize an agreement with the Celtics, sources said. Sterling met with Clippers coaching candidate Brian Shaw, an Indiana Pacers assistant coach, on Wednesday night.
The Clippers will send center DeAndre Jordan and two first-round draft picks to the Celtics in the deal, league sources said.
The Clippers negotiated a five-year, $35 million deal with Rivers that could be worth as much as $8 million a year with bonus incentives, sources said. Rivers has arrangements to bring some Celtics support staff – including assistants coaches Tyronn Lue and Kevin Eastman, and possibly others – with him to Los Angeles, sources said

I'd like to see that too because I like going to Magic games every so often. Tobias Harris, Vucevic, and Harkless are nice, but not exactly must see in person kind of players.Pronay wrote:I hope the Magic get a piece or two to be excited about, even though we'll be a bottom 5 team again this year. that and find a way to get rid of Jameer

Bill Simmons wrote:Celtics should trade Paul Pierce, Brandon Bosh and Jason Terry to Atlanta for Josh Smith, Al Horford and a first round pick. Then turn around to flip Horford, Courtney Lee and Atlanta's first rounder, along with two second rounders in the 2015 and 2016 draft and the rights to the city of Seattle to the Kings for Tyreke Evans, Demarcus Cousins. Then trade Evans, Deandre Jordan, the 2017 third round pick (which sources are telling is something that Adam Silver will make available) to Houston for James Harden and Thomas Robinson, which gives the Rockets the flexibility to get Dwight in the offseason. That gives the Celtics a core roster of Rondo, Harden, Josh Smith and Boogie Cousins. Who says no?

Yeah, if anything Boston have major leverage. Doc is under contract for awhile so even if he doesn't want to coach for the celtics, he has to sit out for the length of the contract, if my memory serves to be correct.naturalborn103 wrote:Doesn't matter, clippers need to please cp3 and Boston knows that. The clips want him now and don't want to wait.
They are going to have to give up Bledsoe, Jordan, and a first rounder or two.

Re: The Official NBA Draft/Offseason Thread
Now they saying league office won't accept trade because they won't believe the two deals are not contingent on each other, so Cs/Clippers back to drawing board.. This is taking way too long.

maaaaaaan. anthony bennett. damn.
he looks exactly like brandon bass, body-wise (nh)
now imagine if brandon bass had 3 point range with a textbook/balanced release/footwork on the jumper
then imagine brandon bass had legitimate handles that could get him around defenders on the perimeter
then imagine brandon bass had a few moves in the paint
just sick

Usual facial (nh) suspects here (Barnes/griffin/deandre) but Russell and to a lesser extent Kobe were surprisingly crazy present in this video
Also I never realized that lebron murder of Jason terry was preceded by terry blowing a fucking 4 v 1 fast break with a turnover

charles barkley was 6'4. bennett can make it work. reggie evans gets 20 boards a game b/c he's fucking wide not a leaper (and has long arms). think a slightly shorter, less fat, more perimeter-skilled elton brand. guy's body overall is great for nba imo, despite the "lack of height"
he did an interview back in high schooL talkin about developing into a 3 for the nba...how crazy is taht? dude has obviously worked a ton on his game since then to be the 3 he wanteed to be. i think he can do it
