c'mon man, you normally draft closers just as early. Only reason you didn't this year is because you kept two relief pitchers.
In any league, especially one with 14 teams, you need to draft them when you can cause they're much harder to find on the wire.
I have NEVER in all my years of fantasy drafted closers early. I always keep 2 in each league and that has been the case for pretty much the entire duration of keeperstown. Go look back at every draft and you'll see I have never taken one early. I always scoop 'em up off the wire. Ask Nick, Nick P, Popa or Kev. And most of the time I do fairly well in hoarding closers that I scoop up too.

You realize that keeping closers is essentially the same as drafting them early?
Regardless, Just last year, in Keeper Jr you took Glen Perkins within your first 3 picks of the draft and in Keeperstown you took John Axford and Steve Cishek in your first 4.
Don't act like I don't know your drafting habits, fool.

I don't even buy that bullshit. And Axford burned me, fuck him. More reason never to buy a closer earlier.

Wilson Ramos broke the hamate bone in his hand, and will be out 4-8 weeks and the probably hit like shit when he gets back because that injury saps the power from everyone who suffers it. I'm dropping him.

Here's whose still available:
- Carlos Ruiz
- Jared Saltalamacchia
- Russel Martin
- Alex Avila
- Devin Mesoraco
- Jordan Pacheco
- Chris Ianetta
- Yasmani Grandal
- Mike Zunino

Suggestions?

If Ryne keeps him in the 2 hole he'll get like 85 runs too. He has 6 already.

His OBP is basically infinity. There's a better case to be made for hitting him leadoff than there is in the bottom third of the lineup

Just things that are happening in one of my league. Interested in people's perspective. This trade occured between the team in first and the team in last place.

What have been your best and worst moves so far this year?

Best was picking Michael Brantley up off the wire. Dude is currently the 12th best hitter in the league, according to yahoo rankings. Picking up Colby Rasmus right before he started hitting bombs was looking good too, before he hit the DL
Worst was trading Jennings & Soriano for Trumbo, but only because two days after the deal was made, Trumbo went to the DL and wont be back for a few more weeks.

Recently received Billy Butler for Francisco Liriano, and unless Liriano figures it out, I feel good about my chances of winning that trade.

Injuries have basically been the story of my season so far. Guys that I've had who've spent time on the DL this year: Adrian Beltre, Jose Fernandez, Bryce Harper, Brandon Belt, Trumbo & Rasmus.

Alfredo Simon on waivers has been nice. Dropped buerhle a few weeks ago, kinda regretting it but I don't think he'll sustain that era at all

I've been murdered by injuries in my big money league and we only have 2 DL spots.
Braun, Trumbo, Aramis Ramirez, Profar, Rasmus, Hamels, Lindstrom, Latos, Darvish, Cain, have all spent time on the DL for me.
Prob forgetting some too.

In my league, between rounds 20-30, the following players were drafted:
Batters: Michael Brantley, Alexei Ramirez, Mark Texeira, Brian Dozier, Michael Morse, Dee Gordon, Emilio Bonafacio, Melky Cabrera
Starters: Ervin Santana, Matt Garza, Tyson Ross, Dan Haren, Corey Kluber, Yovani Gallardo, Scott Kazmir, Rick Porcello
Closers: Huston Street, Joakin Soria, Latroy Hawkins

A pretty good potential foundation for a winning roster right there.

I won't partake in any league under 14 teams. my sabermetrics league has 20 teams

it's hard to look like a guru when you have to break down the Astros 7 Twins 5th-6th starters

Best:

Have a pitching staff of Scherzer, Cueto, Gray, Kluber, Wily P, Gerrit Cole, Roenis Elias, and Dylan Bundy (NA right now) in a ten-player keeper. I have Springer, Abreu, Castro, Arenado, Yelich, Altuve, Alex Guerrero, and B-Moss in the lineup. Needless to say, ya boy's got options. Tied for first right now.

Worst:

Keeper League Jr. The whole thing.
