Re: Official European Football 2014-15 Regular Season Thread
What an awesome way to cap off pre-season with a 4-nil thrashing of Dortmund.
Coutinho was fantastic, set up a goal, scored another, easily the best player on the pitch.
I was really impressed by Manquillo, never heard of him before the loan deal went through, strong and pacey, was up and down the line fit the style of play great. Seems a step up in quality from our other rbs. And Johnson to his credit didn't seem out of place playing on the left.
Can't wait for Gunners V City @10

DeAndre Yedlin is complete. Fullback depth with Walker/Yedlin and Davies/Rose is pretty good. Still work to do, especially with sales and loans, but Poch is piecing together a promising side. Still bound for 6th imo, however.

Actually, yedlin won't join until next season. MOAR NAUGHTON.
Re: Official European Football 2014-15 Regular Season Thread
That's what The Guardian's reporting, but I wonder if they've misunderstood the MLS season dates, meaning he'll finish the season with Seattle and then be available from December.Positive A wrote:Actually, yedlin won't join until next season. MOAR NAUGHTON.

See that's what I don't understand. The few days leading up to the official announcement said that he would join after MLS season ends, but then reports today stated it he would join ahead of next season. Confused.Req wrote:That's what The Guardian's reporting, but I wonder if they've misunderstood the MLS season dates, meaning he'll finish the season with Seattle and then be available from December.Positive A wrote:Actually, yedlin won't join until next season. he's a top class player, he's not gonna just take 6 months off until July pre-season. I'd be surprised if he wasn't in action by Jan at the latest.Positive A wrote:See that's what I don't understand. Yes. He's finishing up in MLS "this year" meaning he will be at Spurs starting January 2015.

@United finishing top 4. LVG bringing back the glory days of losing to the Welsh at OT.
Best part was the away fans singing "y'all be sacked in the morning"
Surely they start to panic buy.

Raheem Sterling looks like a lesbian from the 80s...but plays lot better than one.

Anfield DOES sound like a library
Game has consisted of a bunch square passes between the back 4, with the one moment of quality the difference.

Really uninspired performance.
Why buy all these attacking midfielders, to play two defensive mids?

In no way deserve those 3 points. But I'll take it. A draw, or even a loss was on the cards.

Remy Cabella is awesome. NUFC is going to make some noise again in the top half of the league like they did a few years ago.

UNBELIEVABLE signing. As an Arsenal fan, I could not be more pissed they didn't reach out to sign him. It's fucking ridiculous. I hate this.VideoKilledThe wrote:BALOTELLIIIIII!!!!!!!!!! YES!
It's 4m more than what you paid for fucking Giroud and for a position you need the most, you fucking braindead assholes. "Oh but he's immature and he's volatile and blah blah blah." Oh go fuck yourselves fucking Arsenal Board and fuck you Wenger. Go sign another fucking obscure free transfer or some other washed up fucking midfielder on fucking loan. Fucking morons. Do you have any idea what kind of steal this is? If he stands around on the pitch in the attacking 1/3 and does nothing, his presence alone is already more dangerous than anyone they have and already justifies his fee.

after the drama and melodramatics of having Suarez as your star player, am glad Liverpool replaced him with someone much more calm and level headed

The club clearly doesn't give a fuck about character issues. For the record I've always been a huge Super Mario...not that this is finalized by any means. If he signs tomorrow he will be eligible to play Monday against City.
