there was a while where Evan Longoria was putting up 7WAR for 2million, you overpay players when they are 30 because you functionally stole millions earlier in their career.

Trout's extension contract is a massive bargain too, guy is legit worth 40+/yr right now(and they got 110million in production for 2mill, so he basically could not play his contract and they still got a so/so deal on him)
