There are people who don't like Harvin? I mean yeah, he is injury proned, but when he is out there dude is electric.

Gotta be a salary cap move, big loss for the Seahawks.

he's a #3 receiver with potential for occasional big plays. I don't think he'll ever be able to make a substantial impact outside of a nice punt return and end around here and there.

He is stupid fast, and you can line him up in a variety of positions. He isn't a #1, but he is a definitely a playmaker, and someone the defense has to account for. My only problem with him is his inability to stay healthy.

I'm sure the Jets will find a way to screw using him up, but I'd take him on the Niners in a heartbeat.

It seems to me the Nyj need a prototype fast field stretcher and they'd probably use some motion too

But as far as the Seahawks go who the f saw this coming recently? My thoughts behind this are as follows;
1a) they drafted Paul Richardson (djax type) for a reason
1b) they drafted and retained Norwood on the depth chart for a reason
1c) percys services may no longer be needed
2a) they haven't really been using all his explosive potential to be honest I mean really
2b) with the new way the offense is going they probably don't see the need to pay a guy to just be a fast threat
3) maybe he's mossing it a little bit
4) maybe he's mossing it a lottle bit

dont sugar coat it. this is a clear cut salary dump, and management is sending the message that they have lost all faith in the current group of players. let the record show that the dallas cowboys forced the defending superbowl champions to rebuild.

he's one of the best players in the league but he is an insatiable bitch who was getting under russell's skin. obviously he has never developed into a polished NFL flanker who can run routes and get open, you have to manufacture ways to get him in space with the ball

when favre was throwing him the ball he was an mvp but the team had to put up with his cunty mouth

so yes, we agree

Why the fuck not I guess.

None of his remaining contract is guaranteed so they can just cut him if he sucks.

@DavisHsuSeattle: Seahawks will save $7.5M in base salary this year from moving Harvin and take a $7.2M dead money hit (I believe in 2015)

damn, they really wanted him gone. i read that he missed practice Wednesday and had a sudden thigh injury

I was told “Go find a team picture from Super Bowl and you can still see part of the black eye Tate got from Harvin"

Re Percy harvin
oh shit. Didn't know he was a bad teammate aside from convenient migraine syndrome. Since this shit happened today I have some friends I've been discussing the matter with who are seahawk maniacs. Both of them are saying that their sources are saying Percy requested release from his contract. One said in the beginning of the season one didn't specify when the request was made

That's complete bullshit in my opinion. Seahawks fans want to believe that but the truth is Seattle paid to get him out of there which speaks volumes. If Carrol can't get him to act right then Wtf is rex fucking Ryan gonna do? Props to Seattle ownership

@kel
Considering the shit you posted re the salary cap I'm definitely leaning towards the 'Percy blows' theory
#mossingit

Re rex Ryan
Dude probably believes the shit he does will work to mold dude into good teammate. Some coaches like guys who are arrogant and fight etc or at least believe they can work with them. They DO need wrs in nyj

Unless they finish out like 7-2 or something like that Rex is a goner. Idzik will probably try to bring in one of the Seattle coordinators.

This move is important because Geno no longer has the excuse of limited weapons. Either he shows them something that justifies giving him another year, or they find out that he sucks regardless of who he's throwing to. I think he falls in the latter category, but at the least next guy will have somebody to throw to and they can focus more on revamping the o-line in the draft and free agency.

Lulz @colt McCoy looking good while rg3 chills on the bench

It really does highlight the point that qbs are only so important (and at this point I'd like to take the opportunity to expand yac scyince a bit). It seems that you could theoretically have say 3 qbs on the bench and if you changed up your game plan so much from week to week you could rotate your qbs and play them every 3 weeks and your game plan would be way less predictable and at least your qb could execute their specific gameplans very well and it'd be sweet because you could tailor your shit to your opponents and your qbs specific strengths
