3-2 so far in official picks

at the last minute I picked up pitt -7, and I also hit a nice first half 3 team parlay (Rams, Vikings, Texans). I'm up 2.5 units so far for the season. might fuck wit that giants/cowboys game.

You forgot about the Pack D. They pretty much owned Mcnabb in the 2nd half

The one game I was off on. But the Packs didn't beat the Eagles, the Eagles beat the Eagles with their fucking turnovers and penalties.

I don't bet on sports specifically about fear of becoming degenerate

I lucked into being good at poker, decided that was enough gambling for me

the rule of thumb, is to only gamble with surplus. You set yourself a goal if you will. say week one you're going to gamble 100 bucks. If you win you gamble week 2 with the surplus, never letting your balance go below the 100 dollars you initially put in, and at the end of the year put it all on the superbowl.. cash out until next year. The alternate version you lose the 100, and sit out until next year. It's willpower.

Don't have any money on these, but I will be starting next week. Here are the games I'd consider betting on if I was.

College
USC -10 @ Nebraska

Pro
Oakland +10 @ Denver
Indianapolis -7 @ Tennessee
Cincinnati -6.5 @ Cleveland
Dallas -3.5 @ Miami

Lock of the Week
New Orleans -3 @ Tampa Bay

Going with the road teams this week. 4 double digit lines and another 9.5er :wtf: .

if you are 'doubling your money', meaning betting everything you have, i give you 2 weeks before you're 'replenishing' your bankroll..

good win, but don't bet that much, it'll all come crashing down.

i teased colts/bengals down to -1 for tomorrow, michigan (-9.5) (won) and have 1u on louisville (-6) later...

i'm being pretty picky about bets so far this year, as i had the worst sports betting month that i have on record in august, and i'm still getting over the tilt of going 2-9 in a month...

pushed today minus the juice, still have the teaser for tomorrow, and a very small bet on the usc moneyline (why am i betting -500 moneylines, you may ask? to cancel out the loss on the juice of going 1-1) still riding..

i also added derek anderson u/214 passing yards tomorrow. he has some targets, and the bengals defense isn't all that intimidating. but as a browns fan, i can see them getting down early, which again would point to an over on the total passing yards...except for the fact that if they're down early, it may not be anderson doing all the throwing...

leans, but not yet plays for tomorrow: saints (-4), bengals (hoping for -7, -7.5 is probably a pass), seattle ML, and whatever scraps of a wong tease or two i can find, probably packers up to (+8) and one of the -7.5 favorites down to 1.5...

bodog.

horrible, i know, but it's what i got..

a lot of the time, i can call my brother, and if we're on opposite sides, we'll bet each other to eliminate juice. i also have 'a guy' who i just called, and call every sunday, to see what his lines are. his line is better, i go old school and book it with him..

fwiw...the derek anderson line went down to 208, with the under being (-135)..at the very least i'm on the right side of the movement..

i also added the giants (-2.5), since moved to (-3)...it was EV all week, then started to slide last night when they announced eli was playing, got it probably literally seconds before it went to (-3), i fully expected the little message to pop up telling me the line was expired, but i got it..

derek anderson u/214 2u
giants (-2.5) 1u
bengals(-1.5)/colts(-1) 1u

hate that the saints line moved so much, i can only find it at (-4.5), and was hoping that it would've evened out over night to 4. the guy i call told me he has it at (-6), lol...almost made me take the bucs just based on the line being a full 2 points off of everywhere else i've seen...

i'm also leaning towards the vikings (+3.5)...gonna do some quick reading first, though i can see them beating the lions in detroit straight up...

added saints (-250) 1u to win .4u

reasoning is that the line got to (-5) just a few minutes ago, and has moved steadily from (-2.5) to (-5) over the last few days, and i don't think the moneyline has reflected how much money has been going on the saints. i expect this won't be a huge blowout, hence me not wanting to lay 5 points, but the saints will be too much in the end..

Went 3-3 which is what it is. So much for my lock of the week. The books made a ton of money on the Saints game. Really surprised at New Orleans, what happened with them in the offseason?
