if you think kap is a better quarterback than alex smith you are 17 and started watching the nfl last season... numbers don't lie uncle tom... the point is the build of the 49ers was thus that you didn't have to flash your way to yardage and points... the team was built for a quarterback to manage the game... alex smith is inarguably the best ball manager (obviously not considering elite qbs) in the league... the fact is you wanted more and you got less... way less... you shot yourself in the foot... you gave up a very good average quarterback in hopes for something more and you never got it... and never will... Kap is a trash pail...

they let chip go because the whole team hates him, not because of his coaching. that's why they wanted coughlin, they were looking for a coach that the players can actually look up to, not a racist robot.

in re Cleveland browns
here is the browns problem. it is not that they have bad players. it is that they
1) do not have alignment within their organization in re their product related values (my auto text just guessed 'Kendall Wright' right there which is hilarious)
2) they draft a guy like manziel.... go out during the off season and hire like 16 wrs when the avg team has like 7.... end up with 8 wrs at beginning of season.... and then proceed to run an offense that operates mostly out of 21 or 12 personnel (#rb-#te)... and then when they suck because the structure sucks and the concepts aren't built for their players they try to better their organization by bringing in guys whose stated purpose is to find inefficiencies with their players and scouting products.

with the way the league has bureaucratized does anybody really see any rapid or worthwhile changes occurring in Cleveland? I guess we'll wait and see. if they start running a real offense I guess I'll dig.

in baseball depodesta has a track record of finding guys that play the hitters/pitchers game very well themselves. what happens when he has to actually mold the game for them as football people actually have to do and do so in a coordinated fashion? what happens when sure you can trade great hitting ability for total inability to field but then all bill belichick has to do to move the ball on a great defensive team in the superbowl is base out of the same 4 plays and run those plays over and over and over again? I mean I just don't see the browns really improving in any real way. I'd like to be proven wrong though.

New England/Arizona super bowl

battle tested Cards take it home against a good Patriot team that make it through a weak AFC

they have a habit of making blowouts into sweats, they were up 35-0 vs NYG and 31-0 vs Seattle and both of those games were loseable at the end

lol sickest cover ever though with my 7 point New England teaser... +3.5/over 37.5... doesn't get much closer than that...

speaking of whiffing @dlg... but I don't see how Denver contains cam in the super bowl... it's almost not possible

I think denver is going to be able to keep it close. arizona gave this game away.

If denver keeps cam out of the endzone early and peyton doesn't make any bad mistakes, it's going to be a slugfest.

carolina is good at scoring early and demoralizing their opponents early. that'll we the key in the SB

what a game by the denver D tho. felt like I was watching strahan, tuck and osi in 08

in my opinion it's Carolinas game to lose because they're too ingrained in the new stuff and they're pretty damn good at it. they're the only team in the league that has taken a running qb and shaped their team around the guy. they have new stuff they have some old stuff...

no real sense of timing? no problem. your reads take forever? it doesn't matter because ted Ginn and Greg Olsen are two of the fastest guys at their positions in the league and they're willing to let you run or throw it away

if Denver has problems running the ball early it is over otherwise Peyton taking over the game through the air is the only way they can hope to win.

both ds are filthy but the pats gameplan today was wack

von miller can't play a better game than he did today... honestly one of the best football games I've ever seen anybody play... I don't think he can bring that same heat to cam... he is just too unique and different for any current defense to contain... also the real reason brady couldn't do anything today is because Denver could stack it deep with absolutely zero threat of anybody running on them... beyond that Carolina is weak in the secondary... but who is Denver really throwing to? they have some super dangerous running pieces but idk call me foolish... current Denver aerial offense doesn't scare me... at all... I think the panthers win by a touchdown

pro sports story lines have me wanting to bet the house on Denver though lol... the savvy veteran getting points on the biggest stage ever with the chance to ride out into the sunset as the only qb in the history of the game to win a super bowl with two different teams... sexy
