Was a sweet brawl. I just hate we dont play the Rangers again for the rest of the year.
With all that happening though, another great thing went unnoticed. Anyone see Joey Votto teasing Phillies fans by not throwing them balls out during the game?
Congrats Myjah.

Caught a segment on the phils on mlb network yesterday. Looks like they're ahead of schedule. That run differential is ugly as fuck tho.

Yeah Nola and Velasquez both are a lot better than advertised, but we're nowhere near this good. Just having a great run of luck in 1-run games.
I'd actually rather us do shitty and get another top draft pick next year.

It's nice to be ahead of schedule, but yeah they will probably even out sooner or later. From what I've read this draft is kinda whatever so they draft a guy they can sign below slot.

Sucks cock.
I did find this a bit relieving
Consider the following nine-start stretches:
Clayton Kershaw, April 6-May 21, 2015: 4.32 ERA
Madison Bumgarner, June 15-July 28, 2014: 4.55 ERA
Chris Sale, July 30-September 13, 2015: 5.24 ERA
Felix Hernandez, July 4-August 21, 2015: 5.01 ERA
Adam Wainwright, April 3-May 18, 2016: 5.92 ERA
David Price, April 2-May 15, 2013: 5.24 ERA (or 5.53 ERA in 2016)
Did any of us ever expect to be able to say that Melvin Upton is actually the best Upton in baseball?

Matt Harvey has gone from Christian Bale Dark Knight, to George Clooney Batman.

Been banging my drum all weekend that the Twins were going to call up Buxton and now they have and people are like "You're psychic!" No, I'm not. That's like calling someone psychic for predicting it's going to be cold in January in Minnesota.

Been watching the playoffs man. But went to the Giants/Dodgers game last Friday. Shocking how many dodger fans were there.

This used to be my Giants baseball feed. I feel like I only know the NL league from a box score perspective.
Is LA going to the WS?

Also for my fellow baseball heads, this new Fastball documentary is a good watch
He's a great guy. I see him all the time at Clearwater games. Hate that this happened to him. Surprisingly, this injury isn't necessarily a career ender.

I'd like to think so, but I'd think that depth perception is pretty important in baseball. That's a huge obstacle to overcome.
Not to mention its gotta be pretty dangerous, if he can't properly perceive a ball hit back at the pitcher he's a greater risk to get hit and the face and lose his other eye too. I'm sure his doctors are recommending retirement. And he's already set since he got a nice signing bonus as a 2nd round pick.
