people keep saying theres a large chance he'll go to the raiders. that would be insane to have the two most talented WR in the league on the same team. he had a great situation in philly, though, I don't why someone would want to fuck that up.

No human being is worth 6 figures or more to play a game/sport. We all know this, and thats why people hate these ego-trippin homos pro athletes. TO IS A BITCH, A SLUT, A WHORE!!!
wait.

let's say some rb gets 8 mill a year and that's tops in the league. you getting 4 million and are coming off a year you lead the league in rushing and TDs and took your team deep into the playoffs.

you wouldn't want to get paid more? especially in a sport where in any second, you could get cut because you aren't good enough anymore or you go through a season ending injury?

sure no one deserves 7 digit salaries in sports. but people pay to see athletes do what they do. so there is naturally a whole lot of cash in this buisness and why can't the players see some of that money? not everyone pay to see how police, doctors, and firemen do their jobs so they get paid accordingly. these players have a right to get paid market value. i can't get mad at a player wanting to get paid more unless they are being ridiculous (TO and sprewell).

just because TO is acting a fool doesn't mean we should paint the other athletes who are trying to get paid in the same light

i probably said the last statement wrong
What I am trying to say is that there is a problem with our "value" system of what we pay people to do in our culture. Capitalism makes everyone prostitute themselves for money, and they are just overpaid and over-valued prostitutes considering what they "contribute" to our culture.

If I want to watch rich people whine about their lifes, then I will watch Days of Our LIVES or Laguna Beach. I dont want to watch rich football players drama. I WANT TO WATCH SMASH-MOUTH FOOTBALL!!! SHUT UP, PLAY FOOTBALL, COLLECT YOUR PHAT PAYCHECK, AND GET READY FOR THE NEXT GAME!!!

The Cowboys do. Maybe for a different reason that other teams, but they do. Let's just say when he doesn't make thru the season for injuries receieved off the field, that running to the star thing is redeemed.

I bet you he gets a contract thats incentive laiden and one im sure with a clause that revokes the incentives if he causes any problems. And i gotta agree with Greg Pop about football players wanting market value. Perfect example..look what happend to Javon Walker. Held out, persuaded to come back and play on his normal contract. What happens.. first game.. blows out his ACL. Who knows if he'll reach the form he was last year again.

Owens apologizes to Eagles, McNabb and fans

By ROB MAADDI, AP Sports Writer
November 8, 2005

AP - Nov 7, 7:00 pm EST

MOORESTOWN, N.J. (AP) -- A contrite Terrell Owens, hoping to overturn his dismissal from the Philadelphia Eagles, on Tuesday apologized to coach Andy Reid, quarterback Donovan McNabb, the team's owner and president, and fans.

``I fight for what I think is right. In doing so, I alienated a lot of my fans and my teammates,'' Owens said, reading a statement outside his house.

His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Owens was making a public apology in hopes of returning to the Eagles immediately.

Owens on Monday was told by the team not to return this season. The decision resulted from ``a large number of situations that accumulated over a long period of time, during which Terrell had been warned repeatedly about the consequences of his actions,'' Reid said.

The All-Pro wide receiver didn't play in Sunday night's 17-10 loss at Washington, and will remain suspended for three more games without pay. After that, the Eagles plan to deactivate him for the rest of the season.

He was suspended Saturday, two days after he said the Eagles showed ``a lack of class'' for not publicly recognizing his 100th career touchdown catch in a game on Oct. 23. In the same interview with ESPN.com on Thursday, Owens said the Eagles would be better off with Green Bay's Brett Favre at quarterback instead of McNabb.

Owens apologized specifically to Reid, McNabb, Eagles president Joe Banner, owner Jeffrey Lurie and to fans.

To McNabb, Owens said, ``I apologize to him for any comments that may have been negative.''

McNabb, who feuded with Owens throughout the summer, was a constant target of his criticism. He finally took a stand in the matter Sunday, saying the team might be ``better off'' without Owens.

yep!
They are a joke of a franchise that will return to their rightly place as the doormat of the greatest division in the history of the NFL. They benefitted from lean years from three of the greatest franchises in the NFL all at the same time, as well as the presence of the Arizona Cardinals. Not to mention the overall weakness that was the NFC. Their fans are brutish drunken retards who serve to live a miserable life of dissapointment and their management hasn't helped to field a team that would dominate had they not been hell bent on being 40 million under the cap. Sure they fill up other peoples stadiums now, but where were they when they were 3-13? Donovan is a magnificent choke specialist who has shitted the bed so many times, the box springs have fertilized. This T.O. - Rosenhaus collab has finally drilled the final nail in the coffin. Bravo to them.

Although I will be rooting for them on Sunday.

C! H! O! K! E! R! S! EAGLES!

Thank you. That's goin' up in the cube.

Sorry, but when you're comments/attitude are directed against your team/teammates, there's no way you can not expect them to have an effect on the team's play.
