not really since they needed both goalsEscobar305 wrote:LOL, he made up for it with the penalty shot later though. Nigeria had allot of chances but could not finish.Markshot wrote: at Yakubu miss an almost empty goal from one meter.
I'm happy for Maradona and Argentina. They are my favorite to win the Cup now. Lionel Messi is brilliant.

ive said it before but i always feel so puzzled and pissed
veron is terrible..no reason he should be at the world cup...i can see his experience perhaps being valuable but in that case u couldve brought zanetti...the one thing hes supposed to have in his game is passing and it's been really terrible in the first half of the game vs greece...

I have to say that I was surprised that Uruguay and Mexico played for the win when they knew they were in if they tied. Perhaps FIFA gave them both a stern talking to or Uruguay decided they wanted no part of Argentina.
The French.
South Korea deserved to go through, they played better in this round than Nigeria did.
Argentina could be a force. They should beat Mexico pretty handily I would think. Super cool that Palermo scored to become the oldest Argentinian to ever score in a cup after a ten year wait.
Really want wins from England and U.S.A. tomorrow. If we can't beat Algeria we don't deserve to advance. Even a draw might sneak us through. But yeah, very nervous.

Add Shawcross to the mix and the gold could have been yours.Y@k Bollocks wrote:England's confidence is shot to pieces. I predict a draw.
I reckon Fabio should've taken a nastier side and done a Greece. Rory Delap, Lee Cattermole, Kevin Davies, Joey Barton, Scott Parker, Lee Bowyer etc.
In other news, Mata to Barcaloony. Now they've completely defanged one of the main competitors to the top 2.
Whether to Jason of Philaflava or John Podesta, I will speak my fucking perspective openly
