I agree but his numbers would take a slight hit. The late 80's to mid 90's is a different type of beast than the league you see now.
For much of that time, pace and scoring was up. His PPG would have been up, and likley his assist numbers. Also, given that LeBron seems to step up his game only when someone hurts him, I'd expect he'd have settled into the physical game pretty well.

That said, fuck Miami and everything they stand for. Spurs in 6.

Let's be honest, all Rodman is saying is Lebron is a bitch and wouldn't be able to handle the style of play.

Kind of funny to question the physicality of someone who is 6'8" 250lbs, but in James' case its a fair statement.

I think the pace and scoring being up was true for the late 80's more than the early 90's. Pace/scoring was really up in the Mid-80's.

FAKE EDIT: Pace was extremely high in the mid 80's. It was high in the 80's. In the early 90's it got lower but still slightly higher than it is now. In the mid 90's to late 90's, it seemed as slow now or maybe slower.

I am just eyeballing this though.

I'm saying, drop LeBron into a 1987 league (100.8 pace, 109.9 fucking points a fucking game) and he'd have a legit shot at 30 points and 10 assists per game, and once in that late 80s era he could maybe have pulled an Oscar. Even 95 (101.4 PPG on a 92.9 pace) he would have put up monster numbers. Defences were so fucking primitive in that era, and shit like the Jordan rules and the sheer amount of trash talk would just make LeBron more aggressive. Most attempts to get inside his head or bump him around have failed, and I think he would trash Rodman (though peak LeBron, which we may not have seen yet, against peak Pippen would be something else to watch. Also worth noting I had a Rodman Bad Boys jersey growing up and loved that motherfucker as a youngster).

Also, he would have been a monster on D. Not having to worry about offenses taking advantage of the three point shot, giving him the opportunity to hand check and defend iso-ball would probably let him break the game.

Let's face it, he's a physical mutant who would thrive in any era, and arguably this era is less condusive to his skills than ones that were more fast-break oriented or where you could take entire possessions off to watch someone else iso or do a foreverlong post possession.

Do you think Lebron would be just as big as he is now if he played in the 90's?

I have no idea how much of a weight-rat he is, so it's hard to say. If he's more Karl Malone than Charles Barkley in the gym, I think he'd be smaller but thereabouts in size.

Not sure if your serious, but I don't get how people are saying that. If you are joking other people said it being dead serious. He ran the offense and was covering the whole spurs team from Parker to Duncan.
Dead serious, didn't think that he played that great. Not saying he was bad, but by the lofty and unfair standards we judge Lebron by this was simply an average performance. He had a great rebounding game, but he was far from being in God mode, he wasn't even in attack mode.

The Heat are playing some absolutely idiotic basketball. I can't tell if they're shook or if they're just really arrogant but they look like a bunch of amateurs right now.

Danny Green on fire with his Boris Badenov from Rocky & Bullwinkle mustache.

Not sure about the twitter dude, but I think it pairs with the NBA style guy who drools over the hideous post game fashion of today's players on NBA TV. Gotta reach the youths with exclusive scoops

Phantom foul on Diaw.
Duncan fouled, no call.
Phantom foul on Green.

Heat take the lead.
