Monta Ellis remains my favorite Warrior ever, against all logic and reason. And Lacob deserved to be booed that day

Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread
He was ok when he was the only good player on the team; definitely fun to watch. However, when he played with Steph it became clear he was a ball-stopping idiot. The coaches they had were partly to blame as well, as Keith Smart and MJ were probably even dumber. I remember when Keith Smart used to pull Steph for Acie Law in the fourth quarter and run isos for Monta as the game winded down.peanut butter wrote:Monta Ellis remains my favorite Warrior ever, against all logic and reason. Wow. Didn't his daughter die recently? You would think he has a better grasp on how to deal with tragedy than that...capable_keL wrote:

Kat is going to be a star, Wiggins looks good so far, Rubio shoots like it's still 1955 but decently valuable, first time in a decade MN has promise though probably a year away.

Kelvin understood, and that's all that really matters.
But if I need to address you in the future, I'll try to simplify things as much as possible.

Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread
Paul George officially better than he's ever been. Playing better than anyone in the league not named Steph.
This 'cers team won't really be a factor until Myles Turner gets a year or two under his belt (he's out 4-6 weeks now w/ a broken thumb), but Goddamn if they ain't fun to watch. The core of PG, George Hill, CJ Miles, Stuckey, and now Monta is really growing and they all seem to love playing with each other. Everyone's got a reasonable contract and they'll still have plenty of cap room this off season. It really is pretty shocking not just how well PG has played, but how well the team has adapted to a completely new style of play and roster overhaul.

Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread
Actually yes, but it's all contextual. In the starting lineup w/ PG and George Hill he usually has to guard the worst offensive player 1-3. Even so, he's really bought in to Vogel's defensive culture and has been a pest w/ traps and pressing, racking up steals. I think the main thing though his he's not being asked to carry as heavy a load offensively. On any given night CJ, George Hill or Stuckey can also carry the load, so he can really pick his spots and be explosive in crunch time.
Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread
Paul George is amazing. Funnest player to watch outside of Steph. So skilled, but freaking huge too; I don't think I've ever seen such a combination.
Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread
I know it's the NBA thread... But Ben Simmons tho.
