well most people are smart enough to realize that sidearm throwers get crushed by the opposite hitters

rightsidearm dominate righthanded hitters, get dominated by lefthanded hitters

lefthanded pitchers the opposite

pretty basic

Juan is 7-0 with a 2.63 era in his last 10 starts.
Bonderman has gone 2-3 in his last 10 with a 4.90.

Did you even read my post nimwit?

I love how both of you just love to jump all over some baseball point and act like you're knowledge after everyone else has already realized/knows what you're saying.

What are you going to tell me next? Johan Santana is going to win the AL cy young?

Wow, you are really confused.

#1 -- I never said Morneau was a better player than Mauer, I said he's a better MVP canidate (Twins have other good hitters--not as good as Mauer, but better in comparison to good HR hitters the Twins have besides Morneau).

#2 -- When did I say Halladay didn't belong in a cy young discussion? Sure he does, but he'll have to get more wins, a lower ERA, and a lot more strikeouts before he looks better than Santana.

#3 -- Lew Ford is having a bad year, as many major-leaguers do. He's obviously played at Major League level in the past and you are stupid if you don't see that. I wouldn't say he does not belong in the Majors until he has another/more terrible seasons.

#4 -- Tyner isn't a great player, but he's not completely worthless. He's a "piranha", he gets those little singles which can later become runs. I've never really said anything else about him.

It's called reading comprehension--work on that.

Halladay pulled after 2/3rds of an inning, 2h 0R, so I presume he's hurt

so I guess it is official now Santana is the 2006 AL CyYoung winner

Lookee what we have here after 140 games.

Best record in the AL..

I'm going to the Tigers-O's game next Saturday... I'm visiting my girls folks in Detroit, and catching a game was numero uno on my agenda.. I'll probably even be wearing a Tigers shirt (so her dad doesn't make me leave and wait in the car).

Shut the fuck up.

How about the fact Liriano is pitching on Wednesday and Morneau is still batting .320?

You STILL fail to realize McCann has about 100 fewer at bats.

AT BATS:
McCann - 377
Mauer - 460

AGIAN, another comparison of Mauer a similar number of at-bats as McCann is at now (Mauer at 378 on August 10th vs McCann at 377 now):

AVG:
Mauer - .365
McCann - .332

OBP:
Mauer - .444
McCann - .392

Please let go of this, it's just embarassing.

oh, you mean Liriano recovered from that awful back injury thats been holding him back for years?

one year of hitting 320 means nothing to me,
didn't bill mueller win the batting title not long ago?

and Myjah - 100 fewer at bats, imagine how many HR/RBI he'd have if he hadn't missed that time.

if only mauer were as productive

McCann is very very good, he has better power

Mauer gets on base more, both OPS are very close, Mauer is better defensively, 100PA is a big gap, Mauer is having the better 06, who knows about 07 and beyond

if Myjah said Mauer was way better than McCann she's nuts, Mauer is a little bit better, but having either one is something every other team would die to get

Mauer bats 3rd, he's not going to get so many RBIs. That's Morneau's job. Tis why Mauer has more runs then MCCann, you have to think about these things too (this isn't fantasy baseball here).

How can you say he would have kept up this pace the whole time he was out, when he couldn't even stay healthy anyway? The whole point is that he was not able to keep up that pace and stay healthy. It's like me saying "Imagine how good Mauver would be if he went 5/5 all last week?" Yeah he'd be great--but he failed to do that.

No, he yr gangsta said "McCann is hitting Mauer type numbers", which is retarded. That's like me saying Howard is hitting Mauer type numbers because he leads the league in HR hitting as Mauer does in AVG.

both have OPS in the 930-940 range

so McCann is hitting Mauer type numbers

Mauer gets more hits/walks
McCann has better power

I'd say Mauer has a slight edge, but its close

Does Ryan Howard have to hit 10 HRs in 3 straight games for some of you to admit that he maybe deserves to win MVP?

Routed the mets tonight. So 2 games back from the wild card, i mean really who would have thought. I knew we would be young this year but i really thought it would be next year that we would challenge for a playoff spot. This year really has been a pleasant surprise. BTW we have to have the best scouting, front office, and player development people in the league.

True. Cody Ross hit 3 homers tonight. Dude has been a 4th outfielder, but he's probably going to get a lot more playing time the rest of the way. Amezaga shouldn't be starting against lefties. He's like 3 of 43 against them. We've got an INSANE amount of young pitching talent.

Yeah our staff is gunna be retarded in the next year or 2. Ive literally thrown things at my tv everytime i see Amenzaga starts against lefties, shits disgustin. I think we can be dangerous if we somehow sneak into the playoffs.

in today's baseball, the #3 hitter is usually the teams best hitter and gets alot of RBIs.

He got hit with a comeback shot in the elbow.
X rays came back negative, so it's just bruising, and he's not scheduled to miss a start.
edit: also, regardless of that, I don't think he'll get cy young.
