NBA Lottery/Draft/Offseason thread

Post by Gregg Popabitch1 »

Everyone knows the NBA Offseason doesn't start with the end of the finals. It starts with the conclusion of the NBA Draft Lottery. We start discussing and speculating now.

Played the ESPN Lottery/Mock Draft 5 times:

4 times it had us getting Stephen Curry.

But one time we got DeMar DeRozan. :meh:

I want Brandon Jennings. I think he's one of the few guys in this draft that has the potential to be a star.

He does kinda look like an emaciated, swarthy version of Steve Nash. :killacam:

Is there anywhere you can see the list of people who will be free agents this year?

I'm really hopin OKC locks up #1 and takes Blake Griffin. Imagine how fun they'll be to watch next year with a Durant/Westbrook/Griffin/Green combo. I can't wait.

I think it'll fixilate.
OKC #1 with Blake Griffin
NYK #2 with Ricky Rubio

Just got off a war on inside hoop with dudes saying the draft is never rigged, and it's all about mathemetics and the law of waaaaaaaaaverages.
We will see.

Jrue Holiday
Earl Clark
Jeff Teague - In an era when quick PG's are essential, he should be getting a lot more attention
James Harden
Demar Derozan
Jonny Flynn
I'm not sold on Jordan Hill. I think he could be a tremendous bust if he goes as high as projected and some of the guys drafted lower achieve their potential. He overachieved at the college level, IMO (think Al Thornton). He could be a solid role player/hustle-energy guy, but that's about it.

I like Patty Mills and Wayne Ellington as "sleepers".

"I'll make the best of whatever situation I'm put in"

What he meant to say: "I was the best college player in the nation and I have to go to the Clippers and be coached by that ass-clown Mike Dunnleavy? Once I escape the rookie salary scale, I have to negotiate my contract with that notorious miser Donald Sterling who has been condemned by the Anti-Defamation League on multiple occasions for reinforcing the worst stereotypes about Jews??? :err:"
